    The Word Is: Worth It

Reading the Bible isn’t about checking a box, earning God’s favor, or becoming more disciplined for discipline’s sake. It’s an invitation to know, experience, and enjoy God through His Word. This week, we’ll talk honestly about what gets in the way and how grace can reshape the way we approach Scripture. Let’s discover what it looks like to grow deeper with God through His Word!

The Word Is: Clear, Necessary & Sufficient

God’s Word is clear, necessary, and sufficient for our lives. But what happens when we struggle to trust those truths? This week, we will explore how a healthy confidence in Scripture shapes the way we read, understand, obey, and share God’s Word.

    The Word Is: Trustworthy

How can we know that the Bible is really trustworthy? This week, we’ll explore why we can have assurance in the faithfulness of God’s Word, even when our culture challenges its reliability or we encounter difficult questions ourselves. As we consider the evidence for Scripture and its power to transform lives, we can have confidence as we learn to trust God’s Word and allow it to shape our daily lives.

    The Word Is: Transformative

We all long to be transformed, but real change takes more than good intentions—it takes training. In 2 Timothy 3:16–17, Paul shows us how God’s Word teaches, corrects, and trains us so that we can become more like Jesus and be equipped for the good works God has prepared for us. What if Scripture isn’t meant to simply inform us, but to actually remake us? Let's pray for hearts that are willing to submit, learn, grow, and let God’s Word transform us!

Longing For The Harvest (At His Word - Week 18)

In the Parable of the Weeds and the Wheat, Jesus reminds us that evil is real, but it doesn’t have the final word. We may long for God to remove everything wrong in the world, but Jesus calls us to trust His wisdom, timing, and ultimate plan. As we wait, we’re invited to pursue justice, resist evil, and remain faithful without trying to create our own version of a perfect world. The Farmer is still at work—and He's coming back soon to make all things right!

Good Ground (At His Word - Week 17)

What does it look like to have a heart that is truly receptive to God? In Matthew 13, Jesus uses the Parable of the Sower to help us think about how we receive and respond to His Word. As we reflect on this passage, we’ll consider what might be keeping us from growing and how God wants to cultivate lives that bear good fruit.

Housekeeping For The Heart (At His Word - Week 16)

Following Jesus isn’t about simply cleaning up our lives or trying harder to become better people. True transformation happens when we surrender every area of our lives to the Kingship of Jesus. In this message, we’ll explore the danger of changing our behavior without changing our hearts—and what it really means to belong to Jesus and His family.

  8. Aug 16

Heart Sources (At His Word - Week 15)

What comes out of our mouths reveals what’s happening in our hearts. In Matthew 12:33–37, Jesus reminds us that our words are more than isolated moments—they are fruit flowing from what we’ve stored up within us. Rather than simply modifying our behavior, we need the heart-transforming work of the Holy Spirit. This week, we’ll consider what our words reveal about our hearts and what it looks like to respond through genuine repentance and dependence on Jesus.

The Unforgivable Sin? (At His Word - Week 14)

Jesus's warning about the "unforgivable sin" has often been misunderstood, leaving many people with fear and uncertainty. In this message, we see that Jesus isn't describing a sin that's too great for His grace, but a heart that continually rejects the truth of the gospel. At the same time, He offers incredible hope: because of His sacrifice for us, forgiveness is available to everyone who turns to Him in faith. This week we are invited to examine our hearts, respond to the Spirit's leading, and rest in the sufficiency of Christ's finished work on the cross.

Temple Tantrums (At His Word - Week 13)

In Matthew 12:1–21, Jesus confronts a kind of religion that had become more concerned with rules than with the heart of God. While the Pharisees used the Sabbath to place burdens on others, Jesus revealed that God's desire has always been to bring mercy, life, and rest. This week's discussion invites us to examine where legalism can quietly take root in our own hearts and to consider what it looks like to reflect the grace, truth, and compassion of Christ in our everyday lives.

Come Weary And Humble (At His Word - Week 12)

True rest begins when we stop relying on ourselves and come to Jesus with humility and childlike faith. In Matthew 11:20–30, Jesus invites the weary and burdened to find rest in Him—not through striving, but through surrendering our pride and self-sufficiency. As we recognize our need for Him, He meets us with grace, lasting rest, and the freedom of a life lived in dependence on Him.

Who Did You Expect? (At His Word - Week 11)

Our expectations can shape the way we see Jesus—but what happens when He doesn't fit the picture we've created? In Matthew 11:2–19, we see that even John the Baptist wrestled with doubt when Jesus didn't meet his expectations. This week, we'll discover why the real Jesus is far better than the version we often imagine and how trusting God's promises can lead us to a deeper, more resilient faith!

  13. Jul 12

The Path To True Life (At His Word - Week 10)

Following Jesus is the greatest invitation we’ll ever receive. He never promised an easy path, but He does promise to walk with us every step of the way. In Matthew 10:34–11:1, Jesus calls His disciples into a life of faithful trust—one where true life is found not in clinging to comfort, but in surrendering fully to Him. As we step into this week, let's consider: what would it look like to follow Jesus with wholehearted devotion, no matter the cost?

  14. Jul 5

Faithful Under Pressure (At His Word - Week 9)

Following Jesus often puts us at odds with the world around us, creating pressure to stay quiet, blend in, or compromise our faith. But Jesus is honest about this tension and reminds us that we are not alone in it—the Holy Spirit will strengthen and guide us when we face persecution. Even when our faith leads to misunderstandings or opposition, we can stand firm because Jesus has already walked the path of suffering before us. As we learn to fear God more than we fear people, we find the courage to live and witness boldly for Him!

Seek The Harvest (At His Word - Week 8)

This week, we see the disciples move from watching Jesus to being sent out by Him. The same Christ who looked at the helpless crowds with compassion still sends His people into everyday places with purpose and provision. The “harvest” is not somewhere far away—it is already woven into our routines, relationships, and everyday responsibilities. As we go, we’re invited to trust Him more than our own resources and to stay faithful even when the Gospel is met with mixed reactions!

  16. Jun 21

Desperate Dependence (At His Word - Week 7)

Desperation has a way of revealing where we place our trust. In Matthew 9, we see people bring their deepest needs to Jesus—and discover that He is both willing and able to meet them in ways they never expected. This week, we'll explore how God uses difficult circumstances to deepen our faith, grow our dependence on Him, and remind us that no situation is beyond His reach!

  17. Jun 14

New Life (At His Word - Week 6)

In this week’s passage, Jesus challenges the assumptions of the religious leaders and reveals the heart of His kingdom. Rather than calling the righteous, He came for sinners, extending grace to those who were often overlooked and rejected. This message reminds us that following Jesus is more than simply adding Him to our existing lives—it means allowing Him to make us new. Together, let's consider where Jesus may be inviting us to trust His grace and embrace the new work He wants to do in us!

Active Faith (At His Word - Week 5)

Every person is carrying something. Some of us need faithful brothers and sisters to help bear our burdens. Some of us are called to come alongside others in their weakness. But the hope of this week's story is not ultimately the determination of four friends—it is the sufficiency of Christ. The Savior who forgives sins and heals the broken welcomes all who come to Him in faith, and no obstacle is greater than His power to save!

Authority Over The Unseen (At His Word - Week 4)

In this week's passage, Jesus steps into darkness, chaos, and brokenness—and shows that even demons must submit to His authority. While the powers of evil recognize exactly who He is, the people of the region are forced to wrestle with a deeper question: will they value comfort and possessions more than the presence of Jesus? This passage reminds us that the kingdom of God is breaking into the world, bringing freedom, restoration, and hope to those who trust Him. Join us as we explore the authority of Christ and what it means to truly respond to Him!

  20. May 24

Storm Anxiety (At His Word - Week 3)

Storms will come—even when we’re walking faithfully with Jesus. In this week's passage, the disciples learn that trusting Christ means believing He is Lord not only over their daily needs, but also over every fear, uncertainty, and overwhelming circumstance. Whatever storm you’re facing today, remember: the same Jesus who calmed the sea is the same God we worship today. In the midst of the storms and swells of the Christian life, we can rest knowing that Jesus is still in control and worthy of our trust!

  21. May 17

Count The Cost (At His Word - Week 2)

Following Jesus is the greatest decision we can ever make, but it’s not the easiest one. In Matthew 8:18–22, Jesus reminds us that true discipleship requires surrender, obedience, and putting Him above the things that compete for our allegiance. Despite the hardships, we can rest knowing that whatever we give up for Christ is nothing compared to what we gain in Him. Join us as we explore what it means to follow Jesus—and why He is worth the cost!

  22. May 10

A Healing Messiah (At His Word - Week 1)

Jesus didn’t avoid the broken, the unclean, or the overlooked—He moved toward them with compassion and authority. In Matthew 8, we see a Savior who not only has the power to heal, but the willingness to draw near to people in their deepest need. This week, we’re asking what it looks like to trust Jesus with the places in our lives that still need restoration and to reflect His compassion toward others. We can rest in the knowledge that He is both willing and able to fix the brokenness we encounter in the world, both now and perfectly in eternity.

Freed From Sin (The Benefits Of The Cross - Week 5)

We all long for freedom, but not everything that promises it actually delivers. In Romans 6, we’re reminded that sin leads us into slavery, while Jesus leads us into true freedom and new life. Even in our ongoing struggle with sin, we can rest knowing that we're sustained by His faithfulness, not our own. As we walk by the Spirit, Christ will empower us to grow in holiness as we learn to live out the freedom we’ve been given!

Promised Victory (The Benefits Of The Cross - Week 4)

This week we explore Christus Victor—the truth that Jesus has already won the victory over sin, Satan, and every spiritual power. Instead of ignoring, doubting, or obsessing over the supernatural, we’re invited to live with awareness, confidence, and hope in what Christ has done. Because of the cross, we don’t fight FOR victory—we fight FROM it! So where do you need to stand firm, push back, or simply rest in the reality that Jesus has already defeated the enemy?

Easter Sunday (The Benefits Of The Cross - Week 1)

Happy Easter! The resurrection isn’t just a miracle—it’s proof that everything Jesus claimed is true and that His sacrifice actually worked. If He hadn’t risen, His death would be empty—but because He did, we know our sin has been fully paid for and every promise in Him is secure. That means we’re not just forgiven—we’re declared righteous, free to live from God’s approval instead of trying to earn it. Thanks be to God!
