Podlander Drunkcast

I’m late to Outlander and it took me a while to find Podlander. I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s the ONLY good Outlander recap podcast. I jumped in around season three after getting frustrated and annoyed with the other Podcasts. When I watch the show now, I think I get more excited about listening to the podcast after. 50% of the jokes go over my head and it took a long time to figure out the nicknames they use for the show’s characters, but none of that takes away from the pure fun of the Podcast. I’m in season 7b and don’t know what I will do with my life when this is over.

These ladies are hilarious. I started from the first show so I could binge while driving or doing stuff around the house. I can’t stop listening. Each episode gets funnier and funnier. I’m a big outlander fan and this podcast is just another way to appreciate the show. Thanks ladies!

I love this podcast! Listening to two (or more) fellow fans breakdown and critique each episode is so entertaining. Allison and Julie’s backgrounds in performance and media make them perfect for discussing every little detail—and they’re funny! For comparison, I also love The Office Ladies pod. Podlander does a very similar thing for me, but with the added bonus of an explicit rating. My one bit of “ugh” is how the point of Blood Of My Blood is apparently being missed: Yes, we do know what ends up happening to the relevant parties, but we finally get to see the journey of how it went down. That’s where the excitement of the show lives. I don’t think knowing how it ends makes the show boring. Otherwise, yay Podlander Drunkcast!!

While definitely an acquired taste. I absolutely love this podcast. It’s irreverent, funny and so much fun. I listen as soon as new podcasts are released.
