So comforting to hear Jill’s voice. I met her at retreat in January had no idea how brilliant and talented she is. Will pass this podcast to family and friends!

We cannot be silent!

Jill does a great job of tackling an uncomfortable subject with authenticity, grace, and humor. For years the faith community has brushed off the topic of mental health. Jill opens the conversation without judgement. Her short, journal like episodes give me perspective & language to have my own conversations. She validates where many people are in life with a desire for a faith community and unsure how their mental health will fit. She is welcoming, loving, encouraging and challenging.

Required listening for anyone serious about faith walk

As a mental health practitioner I have been keenly aware of negative bias towards mental illness in the evangelicals faith community by many pastors and their congregations which leaves people with mental illness and all on the fringes of society to feel stigmatized and unacceptable within the community of faith.
Jill’s podcasts on Faith and Mental illness are contributing significantly to eradicating the negative bias Toward Mental illness. Jill’s transparency about her mental illness and her amazing way of articulating the current crisis within the faith community through illustrations , humor ,love and hope, make the podcasts required listening for anyone serious about their faith walk. Likewise , the podcasts are essential for anyone struggling with mental illness or feel like they don’t fit in anywhere in faith community . We need Open and Honest conversation about mental illness and these weekly podcast are essential listening for all of us.
