Mommy's on a Call | Wellness & Mindfulness for Modern Moms, Mindful Parenting, Entrepreneurship

Stephanie Uchima-Carney

You don’t need another podcast telling you to wake up at 5am and optimize your morning routine. You need someone to tell you the truth about why you’re exhausted, why your gut keeps saying something has to change, and what it actually looks like to build a life that feels as good as it looks. Welcome to Mommy’s on a Call, where mindfulness meets getting sh*t done. A weekly reset made for the high-achieving mom who’s smart, capable, a little burnt out, and ready for something more aligned. Hosted by Stephanie Uchima-Carney, business and health coach, mindfulness expert, and ADHD mid-40s mom of three who has been through the burnout, the health scares, and the full identity unraveling. This show explores topics like nervous system regulation, identity after kids, energy and body, boundaries, and the kind of practical spirituality that actually survives a Tuesday morning. Each week you’ll get real stories, practical tools, grounded frameworks, and the permission to stop performing and start leading from the inside out in your home, your work, and your life. No fluff. No performing. Just the real work of living aligned. Take a pause. Recharge. Reflect. Reset. realignedmom.substack.com

    136. 6 Steps to Identifying and Eliminating Energy Draining Habits and Activities in Your Busy Life [Mindful Monday]

Welcome back to a new Mindful Monday series on Mommy's on a Call. It's been a couple months off from podcasting due to an unexpected surgery, illnesses and well, life. I'll go into my health and surgery later on the podcast, but for now, bringing back an episode from Oct 2020 that I thought is so helpful as we move forward to summer and the rest of the year. It's time to revaluate and eliminate those things wasting our time, draining our energy and bringing us down. In order to make space to grow, expand, build and improve, we need to eliminate those energy drains (aka energy vampires) and in this episode, I go through exactly how to do that. Before we can add, we need to subtract and reevaluate. ---------- Come join me in my sandbox of life and in this podcast to explore, play and discover something new every single week… because I know you've yelled "Mommy's on a Call" at least once in the last week!!! 🎧 LISTEN: https://link.chtbl.com/MOAC ⭐️ SUBSCRIBE & REVIEW 👩🏻‍💻 SHOW NOTES: MommysonaCall.com ☕️ JOIN THE FACEBOOK COMMUNITY: The Modern Mama Society - Health & Wellness for Modern Moms ✨ FOLLOW ON IG: @MommysonaCall & @StephanieUchima 🔥 BOOK A RECHARGE MAMA SESSION: http://rechargemama.com 🙋🏻‍♀️ WEBSITE: https://www.stephanieuchima.com Get full access to re:Aligned by Stephanie Uchima-Carney at realignedmom.substack.com/subscribe

    135. Understanding Trauma Responses and Toxic Stress to Optimize Health and Reprogram Your Brain and Nervous System with Dr. Amy Hoyt

Everyone has trauma and toxic stress. You don't need to have gone through some major life altering event to have unresolved trauma (I mean the last 3 years were traumatic enough for most parents!). In this episode, I dive deep with Dr. Amy Hoyt on different types of trauma response and toxic stress, common symptoms of unresolved trauma in high-achieving women, and ways we can tune into our bodies to heal from trauma and stop generational trauma so we can optimize our health and happiness. Dr. Amy Hoyt is the founder of Mending Trauma, a digital mental health company that specializes in trauma recovery, and the co-host of the Universe is Your Therapist podcast with her sister, Leina Hoyt. Dr. Hoyt is certified in trauma and traumatic stress studies and what I love the most about her work is that she does it from a whole health and holistic psychology perspective. She is passionate about teaching others to reprogram their brains and heal their nervous systems so they can overcome thoughts, triggers and behaviors stemming from past trauma.  On top of it all, Amy is a mom of 5 children, 3 of whom have special needs.
