Great Missouri coverage
Great Missouri coverage, the post game drink is phenomenal, it’s a train wreck that you can’t turn away from!
Great Show.. But some Suggestions
Gabe and Mitch,
Thank you for providing this content to us daily. It is very much appreciated, and I think I speak for all Mizzou fans (who listen to this) when I say we are grateful to have something to look forward to each day. That said, here are some places where y’all can improve:
(1) The whole, “I’m gonna act like I don’t know anything current and guess that the name of the opposing team’s QB is a guy from 10 years ago” really isn’t that funny. Maybe I’m being critical, but you do this bit very often and it’s one helluva broken record. You may think you’re being funny, but it comes off as borderline condescending and makes you sound not as knowledgeable as we know you are.
(2) Also, you begin several of your transition sentences with, “I don’t know, I guess we’ll just….” at least 3-4 times per episode. Do you guys not have an agenda of what you’re going to discuss beforehand, or are you not creative enough to improvise? Or both?Again, perhaps this is petty—but this, too, is an easy fix.
(1) Mute your audio when you’re talking—the number of times a split-second echo trails your voice is irritating for anyone listening to the recorded version of this.
(2) Also, when Gabe makes an argument or comes up with an opinion of his own, how about starting your response with something other than, “Yeah, I agree…” I’m sure you don’t see EVERYTHING on the same wavelength as Gabe. Some pushback, disagreement, or challenges to said narrative would make for a better discussion and a more engaging experience for the listeners.
Lastly, for the live call-in postgame show, how about using a platform/software other than Skype? Zoom, BlueJeans, or WebEx allow the moderator (Gabe) to mute callers so you don’t have to keep asking people to do that. It’s super annoying hearing someone’s breathing and another guy coughing up a lung while the main caller is trying to have a legitimate conversation with Gabe about the game.
I personally guarantee these tweaks will enhance the show tenfold. And if not, ah well—at least I tried.
