    087 • Fertility + Plastic Free Sex

The Sex Ed class you should have had in school. Before we get into today’s chat a few bits of information: (1) Lisa uses necessarily explicit language in some cases to be as clear as possible. (2) This conversation focuses on plastic-free sex between a male and female partner because the topic is fertility awareness as a method of birth control, but that being said I think every woman should be aware of how their bodies work for optimal health so look into it either way. (3) We don’t cover condoms, IUD’s or any other form of barrier method, we’re just talking about fertility awareness as a form of birth control and the effects of hormonal contraceptives like the Pill on our overall health. And (4) my views in the episode are my views, and Lisa’s views are her views backed by studies and years of research. It’s up to you to take it or leave it. But if you come away from today’s topic with anything I want it to be that you deserve a healthy awareness of your reproductive health as well as a loving, safe relationship.

Wait, I don't have to wear tie-dye and hug every tree I come across? Zero Waste isn't just for hippies, minimalists, homesteaders and people who like compost?! This week’s episode I had the chance to chat with author and climate optimist Kathryn Kellogg about her book 101 Ways to Go Zero Waste, the relationship between plastic and endocrine disruptors and how zero waste is not just for hippies, am I right? It was so much fun chatting with Kathryn and I hope you enjoy today’s ep. as well as some details about her new book coming out this summer!

Excellent Conversations with Brilliant People

It is my go-to podcast when I take daily walks. I love her voice and the way she asks questions. Not sure how she does it but many times she asks questions just as I have in my mind when I listen to the guest talk!! I discovered a lot of good practices and resources thru this podcast. I even go back to old episodes now that I walk so much during the pandemic. Highly recommend it!

My go-to learning source

This podcast quickly became my go-to learning tool when it comes to the zero waste movement. I really enjoy it and it’s “active engagement” connection with zero waste. It isn’t just “use less plastic”, it’s “here are some things you can do to reduce your plastic use. Choose whatever works best for you!”
