I’ve been a huge fan of Frasier for a long time, it’s a great way to step back from reality, 20 minutes at a time. My favorite part of this show is the physical comedy, that’s the one area where I think this ensemble excels over others of the time. If you have this show on in the background it’s great but you’re not going to get the full effect. This podcast doesn’t do anything to help highlight those moments or point out anything interesting about the show to prove why it’s still a popular show in 2019. It’s literally just two guys riffing one episode at a time going off on tangents that aren’t very funny. I’m hoping this podcast will find its own rhythm at some point because I don’t think a Frasier rewatch podcast is a inherently bad idea. I think what would be more interesting is if one of the hosts was a psychiatrist, if the hosts were competitive brothers themselves, I would even settle for one of the hosts having a cop as a father. As far as I know neither host fits any of these descriptions and I’m having trouble figuring out why these two gentleman decided to do this podcast in the first place.
