Thank you, Dr. Alli, for your podcast! I've listened to the episodes about how to approach the first day of class and how to request and respond to course feedback from students. We're only 2 weeks into the term, and I'm already implementing some changes based on what I've learned from you and my students.
For example, I will include step-by-step walkthroughs of how I set up my Excel analysis. I will also include a few lines about what's due next and resources students can use as I schedule my announcements for the week.
I resonated with your point about being responsive to make the experience easier for my students, without changing the topics or learning objectives of the course. Once our course is over, I want them to be able to approach new statistical problems with confidence that they can get oriented to the problem and develop a solution. I'll do what I can to support them in achieving our course goals!
