ESPN’s NFL Primetime was MUST SEE TV on a Sunday evening. The Swam and Teej would hold court and we waited with baited breathe for every BOOM, tickticktick and WHOOP! If you weren’t lucky enough to have that one friend who’s parents had Sunday Ticket, then ESPN’s NFL Primetime was the place to be to get caught up on all the days action around the National Football League. Chris Berman and Tom Jackson held us in the palm of their hand as we waited for our favorite teams highlights to pop up. The way Berman and Jackson talked about football was just…different. They helped make the No Fun League, well fun. Berman himself called Primetime a “gathering place.” And that’s the reason behind this podcast. A place to gather and remember the days of football past. Hit sticks and neck rolls. Gunner slingers and liquored up kickers. Flip phone celebrations and the Wildcat. The many antics of TO.
