Prison Town

Absolutely riveting because you just get hooked at how crazy the story is and then you realize this is our prison system and you get mad.

This is such an informative podcast. Thank you for taking time to report on this tragedy. I think the statements about the pay is so timely. COs have to be adequately paid and the prisons must be staffed. I don’t blame the guards being afraid to step in. The system is broken. We all have to be concerned.

A complicated, convoluted story told in an organized and easy to follow manner. The saying “The truth is stranger then fiction” came to mind more then once while listening. Thank you both for all the hard work.

I guess you could say that “Prison Town” is where I live. A lifelong resident of Glennville, GA, I am all too familiar with the location of Smith State Prison. This podcast, however made me eerily aware of much that was going on both inside and outside the prison that I didn’t know about. I thank the two brave and relentless reporters for bringing the whole story about Smith State Prison to light.
