    Episode 4: Did You Swatch?

    Episode 3: It's a Portmanteau

    Welcome back to Procrastiknitting with Elyssa and Lydia! In this episode Elyssa gets a visit from a surprise guest but the show must go on. Lydia went to Brooklyn General Store to buy buttons for her Port Jacket. She also considered buying yarn for the Mantaray but wasn't ready to commit. Elyssa has been working on her Sophie Hood and it is growing slowly but it will be worth it. Lydia and Elyssa debate the merits of the Sophie scarf; is it beginner friendly? why is it so fiddly? HOW many thousands of these little doodads have been made??? Later, the buds chat about what technique Elyssa would like to learn about next. They discuss the differences between fair isle, stranded colorwork, and intarsia. Elyssa shares some of her favorite resources; Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible, Vogue Knitting: The Ultimate Stitch Dictionary, and The Ultimate All-Around Stitch Dictionary. She recently tried the Indian Cross stitch. Freaky! When is it polite to ask a stranger if they made their sweater? What if you/re sure you recognize the Manos yarn? (Also, Clasica is discontinued now?! Should we stock up?) Elyssa dreams of a Lopapeysa (perhaps in traditional Lettlopi or Plutolopi).     Episode 2: Being Careful Not to Twist

    Welcome back to Procrastiknitting! A chatty, sometimes silly podcast in which two friends discuss knitting and everything else. In this episode we talk about what's on our needles, life updates, "gifts" from the universe, and what's lurking in the darkest corners of Ravelry. Links! Elyssa credits her astrologer for helping her keep things in perspective. Lydia is still knitting her Port Jacket. She ordered some new yarn to finish the sleeves. Lydia cast on a Lyalya Hoodie in Malabrigo Worsted (as a little treat). Elyssa briefly declares her love for Malabrigo Rios. Elyssa was inspired by an @AllureKnits post on Instagram. Lydia received a cosmic gift at the Bailey Fountain. Elyssa works on her Sophie Hood while Lydia is having a wifi issue. We mention Lydia's Celine Dion hat. Thanks, Amelia! Elyssa's Outline Tee has been "put down". She is determined to make an Outline Tank! Lydia will cast on for her this time. Elyssa is tempted to knit a Freshwater Tank.     Episode 1: Casting On!

    Episode 1, baby! Elyssa and Lydia discuss WIP mountain, the designers who inspire them, knitting math (or lack thereof), a chance encounter on the train and more. Links and extra info: Elyssa knit the Holiday Headband by Loopy Mango in Hedgehog Fibres Super Bulky Yarn in the Dahlia colorway. Elyssa mentions the Parquet Vest. Elyssa cast on the Outline Tee she's using Undine in the colorway Jewelweed. Elyssa is finishing up her Cardi Du Coeur. She's using mostly DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk. Lydia is working on the Port Jacket by Ozetta. She's using Knit Picks Simply Wool Aran (discontinued!) in the Wilhelmina color. We mention the Boyne Sweater that Lydia knit this winter. We briefly mention the Degen Eyez pattern. Elyssa wants to knit Coloured Crosses someday. Elyssa received life changing sprinkles (jk) from Ocean State Job Lot. We discuss the wild colorwork cardigan Lydia started for her kid. She's using the DROPS Ducks and Pigs sweater for basic stitch counts and shaping and a horse chart from Ghost Horses. Other inspiration sources include Child's Squares Button Shoulder, and Picky Femme. We chat about being Phoebe Wahl fans. Lydia mentions the Holger Sweater she finished this winter.
