    BOWELS OF MERCY

    Youngsters snicker at "bowel jokes" and the rest of us tend to ignore the gut until we get old and are falling apart and our dignity is gone then we talk of nothing but physical illness. However our bowels are a big topic in the Bible and we need to take better care of them and listen to them more.

    Do you consider yourself unqualified weak maybe even the least capable? Then you are perfect for the job! You are much more needed than those who think that they are, "all that" Not many mighty or wise or beautiful are called, God uses the small of this world to do his work so that the glory goes to him. So now what is your excuse? "Here am I, send me!"

    PROFITABLE EXERCISE

    Sure, exercise profits little (I timothy 4:8) but it does profit and serves as a good model for developing spiritual "muscles"

    None so blind as those who will not see

    Jesus was especially frustrated with people who having eyes to see did not see, or ears to hear, or mouths to speak. He told Moses, "Who made your mouth, or eyes or ears?" He made them and if I ask will cause them to see what he sees, hear what he hears and speak his words.

    Depression is fed and worsened by frowning and slouching and moving slowly.

    You asked for forgiveness, did you accept it?

    We can look all spiritual asking God to forgive us but deep down we are terrified to accept it because then we: owe God big time! can't judge others as worse or as unforgivable, need to act in our new worth and dignity and seize the responsibilities that come our way because we have been made worthy etc.
