It’s so exciting to see Dana back on the mic. Each episode of Progressive Hedonist leaves me inspired, informed of the realities that are facing our world today, and with actionable items on how to live a more sustainable life. It’s the right approach to conversations and climate and food. Knowing Dana’s exceptional taste and brilliant curatorial skills, I know there will be more amazing guests. Consider this to be a canonical food podcast!

Food is at the center of all of the issues we face as a society, and this podcast tackles a big one, climate change. These conversations help us to look at our choices as eaters, and citizens, and how that affects these huge issues.

I admire the guests on Progressive Hedonist—so articulate about how we can approach the climate crisis while still maintaining joy and perspective.

This conversation between Dana Cowin and Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson gave me hope about our planet. The very knowledgable Dr. Johnson believes we have everything we need to mitigate climate change, we just all have to do our part by coming up with strategies that work for us and the planet and mobilize. I loved their discussion of the importance of getting to know our neighbors so we can be there for each other. As with all problems, we need to tackle them both from the larger systemic side and also coming together within communities to help and support each other personally and locally.
