    Episode 020: It’s not the gray hair that’s aging you 👀

    We’ve been lied to in the beauty industry. Women are spending thousands of dollars on beauty treatments, injections, gadgets, procedures, plastic surgery and “wellness” trends that aren’t making them well but instead constantly needing more. Are we happier and more fulfilled though? It seems like people are more and more confused about who they are and where their value comes from. We think that the more we have (more wealth, more beauty, more things, more attention, more followers, more _____) will satisfy us when it only makes us wanting more. What actually makes you look older: Dehydration Inflammation Weight gain Lack of color on your face Hair undone Anger Gossiping Bitterness Resentment Hatred Here’s some practical tips for beauty Stay hydrated (skin, hair, body) Reduce inflammation (it’s an instant beauty boost) Wear makeup that blends with your skin and hair color Less is more with makeup as you age Exercise daily (good for your mind and body) Get dressed in clothes that work with your body, not trends.     Episode 019: wise women in business

    I was having a conversation with my kids yesterday as we were watching a YouTube mom making dinner for her family. It has become her full time income. (Shout out to Lisa Bass!) She’s brilliant! She makes money doing what she’s already doing in her home. That’s the ultimate Proverbs 31 mama to me. My teenage son saw it and commented on how cool it was that she makes money that way. And I said, “yeah, if you can make money you should.” And it hit me just how true that statement is! We are to be wise women in our home, with our time and, like the proverbs 31 woman, in the marketplace. We can do it all. Women are wildly capable of doing hard things.     Episode 017: beware of false “Christian” teachers

    The internet is the Wild West these days, full of self professing Christians that are teaching people anti-biblical messages while still trying to claim the name of Jesus. It’s not the biblical Jesus but a jesus in their own image that gives permission to stay in sin, while inviting others to join in.
