When Visibility Becomes Performance: What God Taught Me in a Hidden Season

After nearly 12 months away, Dr. Yeni Abraham returns to The Prolific Collective Podcast with an honest reflection on visibility, ambition and the pressure to keep producing when God is calling you to become still. During her time away, Yeni welcomed her third child, closed the private practice she had spent seven years building and entered a season she could not easily explain. Without the career, momentum and visibility she had become accustomed to, she found herself confronting a difficult question: Who am I when I am no longer publicly producing? In this solo episode, Yeni shares what postpartum recovery, surrender and a season of hiddenness taught her about the difference between obedience and visibility. She explores how ambition can quietly become performance, why caring for your body is part of your assignment and what it means to let God nourish you in an “incubator season.” Sometimes a lack of momentum does not mean you are out of alignment. Sometimes the most prolific work God is doing in your life is happening where no one can see or applaud it. In this episode: • When ambition becomes performance• Why visibility is not the same as obedience• What postpartum taught Yeni about rest and receiving help• The purpose of an incubator season• How to stop measuring fruitfulness by public productivity• The question every high-achieving woman must ask: Who am I performing for? If you have felt hidden, delayed, unproductive or afraid of being forgotten, this episode is for you. Follow The Prolific Collective Podcast for honest conversations about faith, healing, women’s health, motherhood, purpose and the experiences shaping modern womanhood.
