Proverbs Daily is a short, daily devotional podcast designed to help you begin or end your day with Scripture. Each episode features a reading from the Book of Proverbs, a brief prayer drawn from the historic Christian tradition, and one or two reflection questions to sit with throughout the day. This is not a sermon or a lecture—just a simple, steady space for wisdom, attention, and formation. Reflection Questions (3:23–6:13): Key Scripture 1 — Proverbs 16:20 “Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the Lord will be joyful.” Question: God, how can I today listen to instruction, and how can I learn to trust you more so that way I can grow in joy? Key Scripture 2 — Proverbs 16:32 “Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city.” Question: God, considering my hopes, my dreams, my desires, and the things I want out of life, how can I learn to become a person of patience so that even now, in this season, I can demonstrate your love and wisdom? Prayer (6:14–7:56): Originally written by St. Ambrose of Milan: “O Lord, who has mercy upon all, take away from me my sins and mercifully kindle in me the fire of your Holy Spirit. Take away from me the heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh, a heart to love and adore you, a heart to delight in you, to follow you and enjoy you for Christ’s sake. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.” Reflection Question: God, what does it mean to fear You, and what does it look like in my life to truly know You? Proverbs 9:1–3; 13–14 — “Wisdom has built her house… She has sent her servants to invite everyone to come… The woman named Folly is brash… she sits in the doorway of her house, calling out to those who pass by.” Reflection Question: God, how can I learn to discern when it is You who are speaking to me, so that I may walk with wisdom and not folly? Prayer (3:57–5:04): Almighty God, You alone gave us the breath of life, and You alone can keep us alive in the holy desires You impart.
