08 - Measurement, or, When Everyone Is Above Average, No One Is

In both studies, *not a single participant* evaluated themselves as being below average. In this episode, we'll talk about why we as therapists and counselors think we're so good, and how measuring outcomes can give you a far more accurate and useful -- if occasionally humbling -- picture.

Love this podcast!

Dr. Caldwell's blog was a huge inspiration to me when deciding to become a marriage and family therapist, as were his (and Angela Caldwell's) guest appearances on other podcasts (including Talking Therapy). I *love* Angela Caldwell's point in Episode 7 about helping men "sharpening their spears." Such a fascinating perspective that has been tumbling around in my brain since I heard it. Worth subscribing!
