Puck Watching

I don’t think the Blues are in a position to trade Jake Neighbors, look at all the things he provides besides the 20 goals. He adds strong play along the walls, a net front presence on the power play and much needed grit. He will drop the gloves when needed and if you get rid of him that all falls to Braden Schenn and Tyler Tucker and Nathan Walker and Schenn is getting a bit long in the teeth I don’t think you want him chucking them as much. If he wouldn’t have gotten that crazy 8 year deal from Edmonton and had hit the market I think the Blues would have taken a run at Trent Frederic in the free agent period. A player like that is exactly what they needed for the bottom 6. I still hope they can make a late summer move to add some grit on the cheap. The player doesn’t even have to play every night. Just kind of a 14th forward to throw in against heavier teams. I love Nathan Walker but he is too small to be filling that role
