109//To Me, Because Of Me, As A Result Of Me

THIS EPISODE DOES NOT CONTAIN AN ARIANA GRANDE RANT OR ALBUM REVIEW. We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment. Please tune in next week. Thank you, Management This week, Mickey is back with another solo episode, once again recording from the great outdoors. He kicks things off with a story about narrowly dodging a scam call from “Randy at Chase,” who apparently thought an unsaved 212 number and a fake fraud alert would be enough to get Mickey to hand over his account information. Unfortunately for Randy, Mickey had other plans. Also, Randy has an attitude problem. If you’re going to be a scammer, customer service really should be part of the job. Mickey also explains why he thinks Amazon Prime is an absolute scam, recounts his trip to the old people’s community clubhouse to play bingo with his grandma and her friends, and shares the unexpected life lesson he took away from the experience. There’s also the small matter of discovering just how many different variations of bingo these women have somehow invented — and how little money Mickey managed to win. Stay tuned until the end for a quick life, mental health, and $lut spiral update. And finally, LISTEN TO ARIANA GRANDE’S “PETAL” IN FULL BEFORE NEXT WEEK’S EPISODE. Do a quick deep dive into the conversation surrounding her if you're unfamiliar. We are not holding back next week.   Follow us on instagram: @pulsepounding  Follow Mickey Dylan: @mickeynothemouse Leave a 5 star rating and a review on your streaming platform of choice, cause if not that's rude! 107//Eternal Sunshine Of The Adult Baptism

This week, Mickey returns with a solo episode full of aggravation, unexpected detours, and stories that somehow get more ridiculous with every dead car battery. After fighting through technical difficulties (entirely self-inflicted) while getting this episode started, Mickey breaks down the car troubles that spiraled into multiple overpriced Uber rides, two trips to the mechanic, five days without a vehicle, and eventually riding the Suffolk County bus to work.  Along the way, he encounters a passenger who was... on something... passionately complaining about the lack of luxury on public transportation. Somehow, all of this chaos leads to Mickey accidentally winning Jonas Brothers tickets on the radio—for a friend. He also vents about Hallmark, Shoebox, and every other greeting card company after discovering there is exactly one Baptism card... and one "Adult Baptism" card available in stores. Mickey shares his controversial thoughts on adult baptisms, explains how three different locations still couldn't solve his greeting card dilemma, why he ultimately settled on buying a Jewish celebration card as a joke and how he’s genuinely baffled by the endless supply of cards for absurdly specific occasions. Stick around for an Eternal Sunshine Tour recap to close out the episode. Mickey talks about what Eternal Sunshine means to him personally, why he connected so deeply with the album, the excitement leading up to the concert, and his confusion over the number of people who spent nearly the entire show recording it instead of experiencing it. And, of course, he recounts how a short Instagram comment somehow turned into an argument with what he assumes to be a very gay fan (or a she or they—the mystery remains).    Follow us on instagram: @pulsepounding  Follow Mickey Dylan: @mickeynothemouse Leave a 5 star rating and a review on your streaming platform of choice, cause if not that's rude! 106//For The Love Of The Game

This week, Mickey is back with a solo episode to discuss his most anticipated night(s) of the year: Rufus Du Sol at MSG! Join Mickey as he details how he spontaneously ended up at a second night of the concert after receiving a free ticket, scamming MSG security into letting him onto the floor, and inevitably ending up front row. He reflects on the emotion of seeing his favorite artists in one of the world's most iconic venues, staying sober to fully enjoy the show, his thoughts on the Innerbloom fans, and, of course, how much the music means to him. As the night continues, so does the story. After missing an event, Mickey heads to the Magic Hour Rooftop to do some networking and ends up befriending a group of law students, including Paul, the hot Asian with the nice chest, a straight who he fell in love with. The group eventually makes its way to Flaming Saddles, the only gay bar Mickey likes, during Pride Weekend, and the debauchery ensues—starting with a flight attendant becoming a new friend and ending with a strange encounter in the bathroom. Stay tuned until the end of the episode for a first-glance review (aka analysis based on TikTok concert footage) of the tours Mickey will be attending, his anticipation and excitement for the Eternal Sunshine Tour, and his thoughts on Pitchfork's scathing review of the Chris Brown album.   Follow us on instagram: @pulsepounding  Follow Mickey Dylan: @mickeynothemouse Leave a 5 star rating and a review on your streaming platform of choice, cause if not that's rude!
