    Episode 15: Working for Christ

    Episode 15: Working for Christ

In this episode, we are going to be focusing on how we are called to lead in the work we do. Our work is a gift from God. It allows us to engage with people we might never engage with. We must take advantage of this and work with purpose, serve those we work with and for and share how Christ has changed our lives.

How does your perspective of work impact your purpose?
Who do you need to start serving at your place of work?
How can you begin to share Christ while you work?

    Episode 14: Family Leadership

    Episode 14: Family Leadership

In a culture where we experience constant attacks on the traditional family, we, as Christian men, must stand up and lead our families.  We are commanded to lead our families and lead them in the way the Lord has ordained us to.

When it comes to family leadership,  we are called to be priests, prophets, providers, and protectors.

Episode 13: Personal Development from a Biblical Perspective

Episode 13: Personal Development from a Biblical Perspective

What comes to mind when you hear the term "personal development?"  The answer to this question can vary based on your perspective.

Some related terms are Self-improvement, Self-help, personal growth, etc.

If we approach this idea of personal development from a non-Biblical perspective, we can fall into the trap that we alone have the power to improve ourselves.

We know, based on scripture, that assumption is false; Jeremiah 10:23 "I know, O LORD, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps."

So doe this mean we, as Christian men, should avoid personal development? But not means!  As discussed in several episodes, we are called to lead ourselves. If we are not improving, growing, and filling our cup, we will not have what we need to lead in our family or our mission.

So let's explore three ways we can grow, develop and lead ourselves.

Episode 11: Jesus: The Perfect Model of Leadership

Episode 11: Jesus: The Perfect Model of Leadership

We learn through modeling. This is how we learn to walk, talk and engage with others. We learn good things as well as not-so-good things through modeling. As we talked about in a previous episode, the leaders we look to as models for our lives have a direct impact on the results we get. When we model worldly leadership, we will get worldly results. When we model godly leadership, we will get godly results. Today we will look at a perfect model of godly leadership, Jesus. We will break down five specific areas that Jesus modeled for us and how we can follow His wisdom.

    So let's apply this:

Where do you need to grow in your personal leadership? What actions do you need to take?
Where can you show more compassion as you lead?
Who do you need to speak truth in love too?
Where can you invest more (Education, Equipping, Praying)  in the next generation of leaders? What actions can you take today?
How do you model commitment to the mission?

Episode 10: 3 Mandates of Great Leaders

    Let's Talk About It:

Who are some men in our life that you consider great leaders? How did they live out these three mandates
What externals are you allowing to distract you from your missions
How can you better serve yourself so you can better serve those you lead?
What can you do to start multiplying leaders out of those you lead?
