    Rappin' Rodney episode 00006

We kibbitz about the late great Rodney Dangerfield's naked trend-cash-grab 1983 single, "Rappin' Rodney." We explore his choices made at what was the height of his fame, discover the song’s backup vocalists connection to Zoology, and offer an in-depth character study of Rodney's mirror image nemesis, Crodney Rangerfield. We also envision how Dangerfield might have used erectile dysfunction drug themes in his routine.

    The Bad Touch episode 00005

We tried to find the silver lining of this late 90s uneven ode to.......something. We found bright spots, which include the redeeming oddness of it's bass guitar lead and some possible dermal benefits. Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer episode 00004

For our holiday special we unwrap the stocking stuffer “Grandma got run over by a reindeer” from the yuletide duo known as Elmo and Patsy. It’s a portrait of family betrayal, grizzly murder, bizarre prenuptual agreements, medieval german fairy tales, incestuous cousins, the need for an elveaphile registry, and the mythology of parody country stars. We also talk to our grandma expert for an overlooked forensic perspective. This holiday season, everyone is a suspect.

    Incredibad episode 00002

We sleep on the couch in the house that viral videos built, the hip hop/pop/r&b long-player “Incredibad” by the Lonely Island. We explore it’s effect on the contemporary comedy DNA pool, Vatican conspiracies, the white note, Carlos Santana’s escape to Fiji, identity politics, scatting vs. saxophones, and tell-tale video omissions.

Dare To Be Stupid episode 00001

Dare To Be Stupid episode 00001

Our first episode explores the Magna Carta of novelty music, the Weird “Al” Yankovic Devo-pastiche song “Dare to be Stupid”. We discuss out-Devoing Devo, cliche stupidity vs. situational stupidity, primitivist synthesizer programming, and a grand unified geo-gastronomical theory of the western hemisphere. Reggie from “Chris and Reggie’s Cosmic Treadmill” podcast talks to us about using a technique called “fast forward” to hear, more immediately, this call-to-arms for the funny-shirt set.

This was so fun!! From the first episode, I’ve always been a fan of Weird Al but after listening to Jacob and Justin I have so much more respect and admiration for him. So many layers!! Jacob is hilarious and the duo have awesomely entertaining banter...I’m subscribed and can’t wait for more! Also, may we all literally be friends with mashed potatoes.
