3 Ways to Ensure Your Course Idea Will Be Profitable Before You Build It - For Freedom Online Entrepreneur's

Freedom Seeker, I need to tell you something that might sting a little: You could spend six months building a course – mapping curriculum, recording videos, creating workbooks, setting up tech, writing sales pages – and launch it to crickets. No sales. No interest. Just a beautiful course nobody wants. I've watched it happen. And it's heartbreaking. But here's what most people don't know: You can validate your course idea in days or weeks, not months. In this episode, I'm giving you three tests to find out if people will actually pay for what you're planning to create – before you waste time building it. Test #1: The live workshop method that tells you everything through follow-up conversations (this is where the real gold is) Test #2: The ad strategy that costs less than $25 but gives you data on whether strangers will pay Test #3: The market research approach for when you already know there's interest but need to figure out how to stand out One of these tests revealed something shocking to me: What I thought people struggled with wasn't actually what they were struggling with. That discovery alone could have saved me months. The truth? Your audience might be on a completely different bunny trail than you think. And you need to know that before you build. If you're thinking about launching a course in 2026, now's the time to validate your idea – not after you've already built it. Want to go deeper? Join me for a free workshop this Wednesday, January 22nd at 8:30 AM PST. I'll show you how to position your course to stand out, the exact elements you need for profitability, and how to create specific demand angles that actually convert. Can you Actually Make Money With Online Courses in 2025 - 2026?

Freedom Seeker, let me ask you something: Have you been told the course market is dead? That you missed the boat? That it's too saturated? I'm going to tell you why that's wrong – but also why it's not as simple as it used to be. Here's what's changed: The pandemic created a gold rush. People were home, had time, had money, and were buying courses like crazy. If you launched something during that time and it sold? That was real. But now the game is different. And if you don't understand what's shifted, you're going to struggle. In this episode, I'm breaking down: Why some courses are absolutely crushing it right now while others are collecting dust. The difference isn't what you think. The three things your course MUST have in 2025 if you want it to sell. Miss even one of these and you're fighting an uphill battle. The secret ingredient that separates courses people ignore from courses people buy without hesitation. (Hint: It has nothing to do with how much content you have.) And what's NOT working anymore – so you can stop wasting time on strategies that died in 2022. The truth? Courses aren't dead. The market just grew up. And that's actually good news if you're willing to do what most people won't. There are people right now searching for exactly what you know. But you need to know how to package it, position it, and put it in front of them the right way. If you're thinking about launching a course – or you have one that's not selling – this episode will give you clarity on what's actually working right now. And if you want to go deeper? I'm hosting a free workshop on January 22nd where I'll help you figure out if your course idea is profitable and how to actually sell it. Register free at bizinaboxsolutions.com/courses Listen to this episode first. Then decide if you're ready to do this right. Mentioned in this episode: Online Course Workshop Registration If you're wondering whether your course idea will actually sell or why your existing course isn't converting, join me next Wednesday at 8:30 AM Pacific for a free workshop. I'm giving you the exact roadmap to create and sell courses that people actually buy. Register at https://bizinaboxsolutions.com/courses – it's completely free.

You Are The Real Deal - Overcome Imposter Syndrome

I need to tell you about a conversation that happened in a coffee shop four years ago that completely changed how I see myself – and my business. I was drowning in self-doubt. "I'm not enough. Someone else knows more than me. Who am I to teach this?" My friend put her fist down on the table, looked me dead in the eye, and said five words that I didn't believe at the time: "You are the real deal." I'm sharing this because I know you're holding yourself back from something right now. Maybe it's launching that offer. Maybe it's raising your prices. Maybe it's finally putting yourself out there as the expert you actually are. And there's a voice in your head saying you're not ready. Not qualified enough. Not experienced enough. Here's what I learned: That voice? It's actually proof you're NOT the problem you think you are. In this episode, I'm sharing: The phrase I say to myself in the mirror when imposter syndrome creeps in (it feels weird at first, but it works)Why your self-awareness is actually evidence that you're the real dealThe "energetic bank account" concept that explains why this takes time (and why that's okay) The truth is: It took me four years from hearing "you're the real deal" to actually FEELING like the real deal. But now? I'm there. And I want to shortcut that journey for you. If you're waiting to feel qualified before you step into your calling, this episode will help you stop waiting. You are already the real deal. Now let me show you how to believe it. Biz in a Box CRM is the ultimate all-in-one solution designed to simplify and scale your business. How to Get ROI From Ads (Even in a Crowded Market) with John Horn

Friend, I know you're seeing ads everywhere telling you ads are dead, this strategy is dead, that tactic doesn't work anymore. It's hard to know what to do anymore or who to trust. That's why I brought on John Horn from Stub Group to have a real conversation about how you can actually experience ROI from your ads – even if you're in a crowded, competitive market. In this episode, we dig into: Why I wanted John specifically: His agency has worked with over 2,000 clients and overseen a couple hundred million dollars in ad spend across platforms like Google, Meta, and Microsoft. If anyone knows what's working right now, it's him. Where to start with platforms: Google vs. Meta vs. TikTok – which one is right for YOUR business? John breaks down when to use search-based platforms (Google) versus visual discovery platforms (Meta/Instagram). Spoiler: It depends on whether people are actively searching for what you sell or if you need to introduce them to it. The AI question I had to ask: Is AI helping or hindering the ad process? John breaks AI into two categories – the targeting/bidding AI (which has improved exponentially) and why you still need human oversight to catch when the algorithm gets it wrong. Example: If you're a tree service, you don't want to pay for clicks from people searching "Dollar Tree." Does the AI actually track conversions? Yes! John explains how the platforms can see when a search term leads to a purchase (without seeing your private info) and how you can double down on what's working. The profitability framework: I asked John the technical question everyone wants to know – what percentage of revenue should you spend on ads? His answer surprised me. It's not a one-size-fits-all percentage. He walks through the difference between e-commerce businesses (where margins are fixed) versus service businesses (where overhead is already covered). The goal is finding the "water level" between volume and profit per transaction. Before you spend a dime on ads: John's process for starting smart: What's actually working best in your business right now? Start there, not with all five services you offerDefine what success looks like – are you driving calls, quotes, foot traffic? What can you afford to pay per lead?Do the math BEFORE you start spending (if clicks cost $10 and you can only afford $5 per lead, don't do it) Timeline for results: You'll see traction immediately (people clicking or not), but give yourself at least 3 months to prove concept and reach profitability. Some businesses get there faster, but that's the realistic runway. The Google Analytics piece: John's team sets up analytics for every client because the website experience is CRITICAL. You can't just focus on ads and ignore what happens when people land on your site. One insight I loved: There's often a disconnect between the words businesses use (like "arborist") and the words consumers search for (like "tree service"). If your landing page doesn't match search intent, you're wasting money. What NOT to do (this is gold): ❌ Don't take platform "best practices" as gospel – They're often best practices for making the PLATFORM more money, not you. Those little checkboxes Google suggests? Read them carefully. ❌ Don't view ads as a magic bullet – John describes ads as "fuel for your fire." If your pricing is wrong or your sales process is broken, ads will just send more people through a broken system. Fix your business first, then pour fuel on it. ❌ Don't chase every shiny new thing – Yes, test new features, but don't abandon tried-and-true...

3 Effective Ways To Leverage Other Peoples Audiences to Expand Your Reach

Friend, are you tired of hustling on social media, feeling like you're talking to the same people over and over with average results? I get it. You're creating content every single day. You're spending hours preparing, publishing, getting it out there. Maybe you're even running ads to get new eyeballs. You're doing all the right things. But today I want to share three powerful strategies that will help you expand your reach and get in front of new audiences – without expensive or time-consuming systems. Why this matters: These aren't just audience expansion tactics. These are authority-building, trust-building strategies. Unlike running ads to cold audiences (which is hard and costly), these methods will quickly establish you as the authority in your niche and create a transfer of trust that leads to clients who genuinely want to work with you. Strategy #1: Podcast Guesting (This is THE one) If you only do one thing from this episode, do this. Podcast guesting is huge, powerful, and can be completely free – whether you have your own podcast or not. When you're a guest on someone else's podcast, you get 30-40 minutes to share your story and personality. People resonate with you, and because they already trust the host, that trust instantly transfers to you. How to get booked (3 ways): Join Facebook podcast guest groups – share your bio and hosts will invite youUse PodMatch.com – It's like a dating service for podcasters (around $70/month, totally worth it if you're committed to booking at least one podcast per week)Cold pitch directly to podcasts (most time-consuming, some people pay VAs up to $300 per episode to do this, but I don't think you need to) Pro tip: Don't just try to sell the whole time. Add value. Be personable. Share your story. That's what creates connection. Bonus: Guest blogging works the same way – especially great if you're selling products or prefer writing to speaking. Strategy #2: HARO (Help a Reporter Out) Sign up at helpreporterout.com and you'll get daily (sometimes twice daily) lists of media outlets looking for experts to contribute pieces in your niche. Whether you're in finance, business, health and wellness, women's health – whatever your field – contribute once or twice a month and you'll be leveraging massive audiences. The power: Many of these publications syndicate their content to 20+ other outlets. Your article doesn't just get a little reach – it gets massive reach. You never know where it'll go, but showing up consistently is what matters. Strategy #3: Host Workshops (Not Just Attend Them) I'm going to be honest with you: I've been on quite a few of those big women's business summits and they haven't really been worth it. Often the summit host benefits more than the speakers – sometimes they even charge you to speak and then leverage YOUR audience more than they give back to you. My recommendation: Team up with 2-3 other experts in complementary niches and HOST your own mini workshop. Example: If you're a mineral balancing practitioner, partner with a mindset coach and a nutritionist. Your clients would benefit from all three, and you all get the benefit of leveraging each other's audiences. Workshop tips: Make sure everyone has a reasonable email list and agrees to send out a certain number of promotional emailsUse LinkedIn Events – you can invite up to 1,000 people for free and it goes directly to their inboxLinkedIn trick: Lots of people will click "going" but won't show up. Follow up in DMs with the registration link to increase your show-up...

If It Already Works, It's Already Obsolete – Future-Ready Your Business with Allister Frost

Friend, have you ever felt like the world of technology and business is moving at the speed of light – faster than you can keep up? It's not just a feeling. It's a fact. This is the new age we live in, where information flows at us like a fire hose. Are you wondering if what you're doing now will be obsolete in six months? Today's guest is here to help you future-ready your mindset and your business so you don't get left behind. Meet Allister Frost: Author, former Microsoft leader, and specialist in change and transformation. Allister spent 20 years in the corporate world – 10 years at Kimberly-Clark working on brands like Kleenex and Huggies, and 10 years at Microsoft where he had a front-row seat to how technology is reshaping everything. He recognized that while tech companies live at the bleeding edge of change, many industries and entrepreneurs aren't thinking the same way – and they're at risk of becoming irrelevant. The wake-up call: At Microsoft, Allister learned a line from Bill Gates (borrowed from Marshall McLuhan) that changed everything: "If something works, it's already obsolete." This is the opposite of the old corporate mantra "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." And it's the mindset shift every entrepreneur needs to survive and thrive in today's world. In this episode, you'll discover: The lie of "future-proofing" – There's no such thing. That "future-proof" laptop from 10 years ago? Useless now. Instead of future-proofing, Allister teaches you to be future-ready – thinking ahead to inevitable changes and getting ahead of them so they fuel your growth instead of knocking you off course. The Ready Already Growth Cycle – Allister's embarrassingly simple (but clever) five-step framework for staying relevant: Follow – Identify what you need to pay attention to (informed by your personal mission)React – Learn creatively about that thing, then decide if it's valid for your futureOpen – Challenge everything with childlike curiosity (Why do we do Monday meetings? Why paper invoices?)Surprise – Use bold imagination without self-censoring (computers will never beat human creativity)Tell – Share ideas with trusted people who respond with "Yes, and..." not "No, but..." Your Personal Mission (North Star) – This sits at the center of everything. It's not your job title or company values – it's what you do in service of others. Allister's example: When given the "boring" job of managing email at Microsoft, he created the mission "I make the world better at email." That got him out of bed excited every Monday. The downstream consequence question – If you do your job well, who benefits? Keep asking until you get to something meaningful. That sales spreadsheet you update? It might eventually lead to kids playing on a beach because their parents have financial stability. That's your real mission. Why we resist change – It's biological. We fear loss of what we have. But Allister reveals the difference between dangerous and scary – most changes feel scary but aren't actually dangerous. We're literally the most change-capable species on Earth. The "dog in a room full of squirrels" problem – Allister's boss would come to meetings with a list of shiny new things to chase. They wasted massive energy trying everything instead of doing one thing well. Be a steward of your energy. Focus on what matters to your North Star. The three "superhuman powers" – Things humans will always do better than...

Put Your Priorities In This Order And You Cannot Fail - For Online Service Entrepreneurs

Hey Freedom Seeker, you built your service business for freedom. But right now? You're exhausted, overwhelmed, and trapped. Your calendar is full but your soul feels empty. I want to share something vulnerable with you today – the principle that completely transformed my life and business: God first, family second, career third. I wasn't raised religiously. I didn't trust people who wore their faith on their sleeves. I was spiritual but skeptical of Christianity. Thirteen years ago, I heard this principle from my Mary Kay director and thought "that's nice" – but I had no idea how to actually live it. The truth? I was living career first, family second, God third. Money was my idol. It determined whether I was happy or sad, successful or failing, free or trapped. I was enslaved to it. When I started this podcast in 2021, I believed I needed money to have time freedom. That belief kept me stuck. What shifted? I started attending church with a friend. I read the Bible – honestly, to prove it wrong – but found myself drawn to God instead. Over time, I realized God is the source. Not my hustle. Not my business. Not my bank account. I've had six figures in savings and still worried constantly. I've had time off and been severely depressed. I've had secure income and been my own boss. But nothing – nothing – brought me freedom like surrendering to God as the source. Recently it hit me: I was looking at upcoming expenses and I wasn't worried. Not because I had plenty in the bank, but because I was confident in God. That's when I knew I was finally living God first, family second, career third. What does this look like? I make decisions by asking "Does God want me to do this?" I choose family over working late. I pray before I strategize. I build something sustainable, not something that requires me to sacrifice everything. The result? My business has become more aligned, more purposeful, more sustainable. My family gets the present version of me. My peace doesn't depend on my sales or productivity anymore. If you're recognizing that you've made time or money your idol – if you're placing your hope for freedom in something outside yourself – I want to invite you to get curious about God. Pick up a Bible. See what happens. And if faith isn't your path, I still want you to ask: What have you made your god? Is it working? This episode is different from my usual content. I wrestled with sharing this. But I've been guided to, and I can't hide what actually transformed my life. If you work with me, you already know I talk about God with my clients. I don't separate faith from business because they're not separate in my life. True freedom might not be where you think it is, friend. Are you using being busy as a shield?- For Overwhelmed Entrepreneurs

You're drowning. Too much to do, not enough time, can't keep up, exhausted, burnt out. You know the solutions. Hire someone. Delegate that task. Invest in a system. Sometimes you even do these things. But more often? You don't. Six months pass and you're having the same internal conversation. A year later, you're still in the same place. Still overwhelmed. Still stuck. Still doing everything yourself. This episode isn't about time management. It's not about productivity hacks. It's about something much deeper: Why are you choosing to stay overwhelmed when help is available? What overwhelm is really giving you: A built-in excuse for why you're not further along ("I'd be more successful if I just had time"). You never have to face harder questions about whether your offer is good enough, whether you can actually sell, whether your idea is viable. The identity of being irreplaceable, the hero, the martyr ("Nobody does it like me"). Being indispensable feels safer than building something that could run without you. Protection from accountability. As long as you're drowning in tasks, you never have to find out if you're actually capable of building the business you say you want. The uncomfortable psychology: You've tied your worth to your struggle. If it didn't hurt, if you didn't sacrifice – does it even count? You don't actually believe you deserve help. And accepting help would mean admitting you're not superhuman. Real story: Someone had a complete roadmap after working with me – clarity on messaging, offers, marketing strategy. She paid for it. Then did nothing for a year. Posted constantly about being overwhelmed, about needing to build her funnel but not having time. When she finally invested in building it, it paid for itself in 90 days. She lost an entire year of revenue by staying stuck. What was she really avoiding? The fear that if she built it and succeeded, she'd have to learn new skills and try new things she hadn't made a habit of - she would have to get uncomfortable. The real cost: Your vision (buried in tasks instead of building strategically)Your relationships (nothing left to give)Your health (stress you can't sustain)Your purpose (when did you last feel connected to why you started?)The business you could have built and the life you could be living The brutal truth: Your overwhelm is a choice. You're choosing to do everything yourself. You're choosing busy over strategic. You're choosing familiar overwhelm over uncertain growth. The transformation: Stop tying your worth to your struggle. Your value isn't in how much you can handle – it's in your vision, your leadership, your ability to build something bigger than yourself. The question that changes everything: What would you do if you weren't afraid? You're not going to feel ready. You're waiting for permission that's never coming. Meanwhile, your life is passing and your dreams are on hold. Your challenge: What's one thing you're going to stop doing yourself this week? What's one area where you're going to choose help over heroism? The help you need is available right now. You just have to be brave enough to accept it. Biz in a Box CRM is the ultimate all-in-one solution designed to simplify and scale your business.
