Queer Meets Queer

I normally don’t like podcasts. I like the idea of them, but when it comes to actually listening to them, I just get bored so quickly, rarely make it through an entire episode, and usually just find another medium in which to entertain myself. But this podcast. I love it. It’s not stereotypical. It’s not boring. The stories are great and are actual stories that as a queer person, you can more often than not find some way relate to. It’s real people with real stories and it just works. Queer Meets Queer is a constant, beautiful reminder that love presents itself in an infinite amount of ways. And in a world that so often feels so dark, that reminder is truly a gift. So, thank you.

Queer or straight, this podcast highlights the importance of relationships, whether romantic, platonic, or something in between. Especially in chaotic times, it is important to appreciate and explore how positive and necessary our relationships with other people can be.

This show is a lovely, ongoing conversation about being part of a world that is multi-faceted and multi-dimensional that we all co-exist in. Conversations about how we relate, how we engage, and how every path we take leads us to a person or group of people, as much as any geographical place, are welcoming and honest. A perfect way to shift gears and reflect on the people in our own lives. Highly recommended!

What does it mean to be queer? I’m not yet 100% sure! However, Queer Meets Queer is a beautiful opportunity to reflect on how this word is more than a historical slur or a proud label. It is about relationships to family, friends, city, and self. It is a joy to listen to guests and hosts share their heartfelt stories. In listening to them, I am reminded that I am not alone and that I may honor the evolution of who I have been and have yet to be. Thank you for your work! I look forward to future episodes.
