Books have always played a strategic role in discipleship. God chose to reveal himself in a book, the Bible. And reading has a powerful effect on how we grow spiritually. My conversation with Tim Thornborough of The Good Book Company explores what books people are reading and what reading-trends can tell us about God’s people in God’s world.

    Katy Morgan: Children’s Fiction

    Katy Morgan: Children’s Fiction

As C. S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien knew, fiction works in ways that non-fiction doesn’t. It “sneaks past watchful dragons” and engages the imagination in powerful ways. Katy Morgan believes that writing for children is a high calling and she’s done so in a beautiful way.

Enjoy Randy’s Discussions

Randy’s funny, insightful, and a great listener⏤rare qualities in many podcast hosts these days: too many fill every moment of silence. Randy is skilled at asking good questions and giving his guests the space to respond. He does this (1) while also contributing good insights of his own without overshadowing his guests and (2) while asking questions that clearly arise from things the guest has said; he’s not simply running through a pre-set list of questions. It’s a real dialogue on great topics.
