Research About Prayer
The Bible has a lot to say about why we should pray and how powerful prayer is. But did you know that academicians study prayer to see how it effects the person praying? My guest on this podcast is my son, David Newman, who has a PhD in Social Psychology and has recently published a paper about prayer, studied from a social science perspective. The implications for Christians are varied and quite helpful.

Randy’s funny, insightful, and a great listener⏤rare qualities in many podcast hosts these days: too many fill every moment of silence. Randy is skilled at asking good questions and giving his guests the space to respond. He does this (1) while also contributing good insights of his own without overshadowing his guests and (2) while asking questions that clearly arise from things the guest has said; he’s not simply running through a pre-set list of questions. It’s a real dialogue on great topics.
