It’s the season opener for “Quiet Please” and John is joined by one of the most recognizable caddies in the game – Joe LaCava. Now looping for Patrick Cantlay, the #5 ranked player in the world, Joe reflects on the Ryder Cup and previews the West Coast Swing. Judd Cornell, Nebraska Men’s Golf coach, and Dirk Chatelain, former sportswriter with the Omaha World-Herald. A fun discussion on boxing champ Bud Crawford, insights into the modern golfer, as well as the local players that may factor in this week’s Pinnacle Bank Championship, and how Lost Rail Golf Club’s vision has been realized. Lots of commentary on the thin margins in professional golf. Nothing better than some guests talking golf in-person!  

On episode five of "Quiet Please," John breaks down the controversial merger between the three biggest men's professional golf tours in the world and makes his pick to win the U.S. Open. The podcast finishes by showcasing the first-of-its-kind robotic range picker that debuted at the Canadian Open. As for the merger, it's interesting that the Saudi Arabian's have been given access to the PGA Tour straightaway. And John is all-in on Xander Schuffele at the U.S. Open. Five out of six career top 10's in the U.S. Open and ranked sixth in the OWGR, Xander can channel his SoCal vibes to his first major win.  

On episode four of "Quiet Please," John catches up with Keith Stewart of "Read the Line" to fully digest the PGA Championship at Oak Hill. Not only did Keith get to play Oak Hill the day after with legendary caddie Geno Bonnalie, but Keith touted the winner - Brooks Koepka - at the beginning of the week and was on #15 when fellow PGA club pro Michael Block had his magical ace. Keith also has an interesting angle on how Tiger Woods ties into Koepka and the two riffed on many of the other players from an exciting event.
