    Announcing change is not the same as leading people through it. Organizations frequently describe adaptability as an employee responsibility: the work is changing, the technology is coming, and people must learn to keep up. But leaders shape the conditions under which adaptation either becomes possible or begins to feel like a threat. In this episode, author and technologist Ryan R. Campbell introduces the ABCs of leading people through change: Autonomy, Belonging, and Competence. These three human needs help explain why even seemingly beneficial changes can provoke anxiety, grief, skepticism, or resistance.     Stop Following Your Passion. Build It Instead.

    “Follow your passion” is inspiring advice. “Become so good they can’t ignore you” is more practical. Neither tells the whole story. Passion without mastery can become unsustainable. Mastery without meaning can leave us highly skilled at work we no longer want to do. The passionate craftsman understands that neither passion nor skill is sufficient on its own—and that meaningful work emerges from the relationship between them.     AI Isn't Inevitable. We're Choosing It.

    The future doesn't simply arrive. People build it. And yet, conversations about artificial intelligence and the future of work increasingly treat change as something that's already been decided: AI adoption is inevitable. Automation is inevitable. Entire professions will inevitably be transformed—or eliminated. Inevitability, though, is never a neutral description. Often, it becomes an argument that discourages us from asking who's making these decisions, who stands to benefit, who will bear the consequences, and which alternatives we're choosing to leave unexplored.
