In this episode you will hear the destruction and construction of a new space: the technologies, materials, and labour involved, their rhythms and textures…During the process of the dismantling and building of a structure, a surplus of multifarious aesthetic qualities besides architectural functionalism transform the environment and our perceptions. As a Space is formed, a situation is deconstructed. Through the process of deconstruction, a temporal space of alienation is in flux. Whatever is not Formed, is in the state of deformation. A sonic Identity is an every changing liminal state. A hammer in movement, exists in a non state, a in between, a space between incidences. Until a structure arises, it does not demand obedience. Radial Spaces #4

In this episode you will hear a composition based on recordings that audibly capture several invisible infrastructures and the architectures of communication they reveal but do not always decode: the digital space and its analogue to digital conversions and the manifold possibilities of computational signal modulation; electromagnetic and radio wave field space, carrying coded and decoded signals from cellular telecommunications, mixed with natural and artificial radio emissions; acoustic spaces, carriers of sonic symbolic markers. (This episode contains binaural audio elements reproduced only through headphones.) A structure composed without nodes, an imposed organisation. Rearranged by the necessity of capital Matter becomes ephemeral, existence of connections superimposed through the necessity of motion. A desire of production, produced through the erratic and non haptic. Sense of a word is dissolved within its meaning, The body exists through the network, it exists as a metaphor in order to understand the existence of the movement through the network. A signal is developed and deports through invisible structures, the transmitter exists and is compromised through the lack of understanding of its surroundings. The potential movements of deterritorialization, possible lines of signal, segment by segment exist interrupted. In this episode you will hear guest Thorvaldur Helgason’s reading his text “The Body as a House - The house as a body”. Meanwhile, a house sounds about. (This episode contains binaural audio elements reproduced only through headphones.) Thorvaldur Sigurbjorn Helgason (b. 1991) is a freelance poet and journalist from Reykjavik, Iceland. Thorvaldur’s first book of poetry, a chapbook titled Draumar á þvottasnúru (Dreams on a clothesline), was published in 2016 by Partus Press in their Emerging Poets series. His second book and first in full length, Gangverk (Clockwork), was published by Mál og menning in 2019 and received the Grassroots Grant by the Icelandic Literature Center. Thorvaldur's third book of poetry, manndómur (manhood), will be published by Mál og menning in the fall of 2022. Alongside his writing, Thorvaldur has also worked as a journalist and radio host. He has written and produced several radio series for The Icelandic National Broadcasting Service, including Orðin sem við skiljum ekki (The words we do not understand) and Listin að brenna bækur(The Art of Burning Books). Thorvaldur has a BA degree in Theatre and Performance Making from the Iceland University of the Arts and an MA degree in Creative Writing from the University of Iceland. Natalie Mariko is a NJ-born poet currently residing in Athens.
