Perfect home for schizo Stern fans/non-fans
I admit I’m trying to hang on with HSS but the Beth stuff too much and endless COVID talk is painful. Come here for commiseration! The show is a little too hard on HSS imho but hits the spot on even devoted fans’ curiosity—input from Artie, the terrorizing of this Marcy monster, why great past guests are black-listed, what happened to ex-show staff, and more! Gunk now has better guests, show organization, show clips and less talking over each other. Monique will always be a little grating but she owns it! Came back after hearing replay of her on Sean Oliver and plan to stick around.
UPDATE 1/26/22: The one co-host guy is almost intolerably annoying—his voice, laugh, forced laughter, etc. (the one who mentioned having a freshman HS daughter and sounds like the tweaked friend from Fright Night ‘85)
Potential Is There
This is the equivalent of giving Bill Belichick’s defensive game plan vs the LA Rams in the super bowl a couple of years ago to a bad high school football coach. Way too much cackling over each other. Just because someone tells a joke doesn’t mean it’s earned a laugh. Great playbook, poorly executed.
