    CAN I SPEAK TO THE MECHANIC PLEASE?

    In this month's episode, we interview Shannyn all about her career as a mechanic and hear from her about the things she does to ensure she is making an impact where she is passionate. As a young person, Shannyn was offered the opportunity to work for a local mechanic after falling in love with his car and found quickly that there was no place she would rather be then understanding the mechanics of mechanics both from under the hood and in the office. Through fire, strength and determination she has forged her way as a female mechanic and speaks about the importance of creating space for a woman's touch in the workplace; and more specifically, male-dominated industries. With swift problem solving skills and proven competence from multiple angles, Shannyn proves that women in STEM are not to underestimated. Though she is ambitious and always working on her own goals, Suzanne's courage and zest for life know no bounds as she speaks freely about her experiences, difficulties and journey's high's and lows as she was diagnosed, navigated this with her family and used her social media to advocate for women with invisible illnesses.
