I really enjoyed this podcast and makes a great addition to “Emperors of Rome,” and “When in Rome.” The interviews with the creators and actors are also great to hear! That they were able to get interviews with many of the key players of this series a decade after its completion, is a testament to the affection they must have for “Rome,” as well as the quality of this podcast! Each episode is fun and insightful, especially with the benefit of hindsight.
I rewatch “Rome” every few years, and following along with this podcast prompted me to do it again, and made it that much more enjoyable. I wonder if Rhiannon and Matt watched the episodes via streaming, or on the original DVD releases? The original DVDs have a feature called “All Roads Lead to Rome” in the Features menu. This is a fun feature which provides occasional “pop up” dialogue bubbles on screen adding commentary to the current scene. I was listening for a mention of this in the podcast but didn’t hear it, perhaps I missed it. I would love to hear the hosts’ take on the accuracy of the historical factoids. Maybe this will prompt an additional episode or two to the podcast! Thanks for creating this.
