AMAZING
I like this podcast a lot I never write reviews but I absolutely thought this needed one
The Stale Wonder Bread of Pagan Podcasting
I genuinely wanted to give the Midgard Musings podcast a shot. I listened to several episodes, exploring the content and views of the show and I’ve even interacted with the host on social media. I can say both as a Pagan and as a regular Podcast consumer that this show is lacking:
1. In 2/3 episodes I listened to there were forms of direct or indirect slander towards other Heathens. One full episode was dedicated to it and in the most recent one a popular heathen-aligned figure was called out needlessly. It’s easy to see the biases, which convolutes the show’s premise.
2. Misrepresentations and contradictions lead to inaccuracies. One episode harps “orthopraxy over orthodoxy” and highlights how true Heathen practice must follow exacting standards. But another episode highlights how there’s no central authority to tell you what “right practice” looks like. There are neither bits of Lore, nor comprehensive sources that teach us how to do one specific thing. There are a lot of second and third party analyses of sources that expound upon methods. Amongst those analyses, some agree and some don’t. But that doesn’t change the fact that conflicting messages leads this show to be a misleading resource either way.
3. There are some basic audio quality and formatting issues that just make the show boring. I’m not a huge stickler on this stuff. But amidst all of the other problems?
1-star at best.

I don’t know if it’s you, anchor platform or your soundboard setups. Whatever it is, definitely needs fixing. You’re very very quiet 🤐 compared to many other podcasts. Hope you find the fix. Love the content, that’s my only complaint
