    Re-Gen

Re-Gen is a science fiction play that explores a totalitarian society through the eyes of a small rebellion group. The play follows Aida, a recent high school graduate, who’s struggling with her sexuality. Socially rejected from everyone at school, and formally rejected from all colleges, Aida doesn’t feel she belongs. One day, however, she wakes up in the year 2184 after a car accident in 2018. Due to medical advancements, this new society has the power to prevent and even reverse the death of its citizens. Unfortunately, this treatment is very expensive and requires “Re-Geners” to work in labor camps throughout the organization’s facility to pay off their debt. Unhappy with the state of the society, Aida forms a small rebellion group with two friends, Jodie, and Coop to take advantage of a loophole and find a way to escape. While Aida’s confidence increases and she becomes more comfortable with her sexuality, chaos ensues, and critical sacrifices must be made for the group to execute their plans and achieve freedom.
