This is such an informative, honest podcast about the challenges of dealing with aging parents. I’ve been dealing with my parents for a few years now, and after a terrible weekend of falls and a hospitalization, they signed up go into assisted living. This podcast has been SO helpful to me, and I’ve been waiting for the next episode - Rebecca, I hope that you and your family are well, and that you return to podcasting soon.

Thank you for this podcast! I have suddenly had to confront the aging parents situation in the last two months and I felt so clueless and lost on this topic. I was looking for help and came across your podcast. You have helped shed light on things I knew nothing about before. My parents have been separated since the 70’s and both live in rural places and are both in their mid-80’s; I have to help them separately. They are both very against assisted-living and I am suddenly realizing they expect me to be the care support as they need it. Thank you for doing this program!

Our 90 year-old mother has been healthy, active, image conscious and engaged in community until recently. Over the past year, Mom, who is widowed and lives alone, has had singular “incidents” that we are now forced to look at as a whole. She caused a fender bender, fell for an online scam, then she really fell in the bathtub, and finally we see a steep decline in self-care. She is not willing to “go to a place”. We adore Mom and want what’s best for her, but we are in uncharted territory. I’m so thankful to have found this podcast. I’m finding nuggets of wisdom in each episode that are pure gold. The best episode (so far) and the one to which my siblings responded, “Wow, so helpful” is Episode 10: Reasonable Risk. 10/10 (I’m only through episode 14 so I’m sure there will be more favorites!) Thank you Rebecca for being such an insightful interviewer and for sharing your own experiences. This podcast is truly a godsend!
