Sandra shared details about her book "A Daughter's Search for a Killer, Her Identity in the Heart of God," which explores two mysteries in her life: her mother's unsolved murder case and the search for her biological father. She explained how she felt shame about her biological father's identity after being told he wasn't her biological father when she was 11, and discussed how the enemy uses lies during times of trauma. Discovery of Paternal Identity Sandra shared her experience of discovering at age 11 that her biological father was not her legal father, which led to feelings of being a burden and not belonging. She described how this revelation was communicated through a letter rather than a face-to-face conversation, and how it made her self-conscious about her appearance due to being told her skin was darker. Sandra also recounted being 19 when her mother passed away in what was initially believed to be a car fire but was later determined to be homicide, and how she became responsible for caring for her younger twin siblings after this tragic event. Journey to Healing Identity Discovery Sandra shared her experience of discovering at age 30 that the man she believed to be her biological father was not, which led her to question her identity and ethnicity. A friend's observation about Sandra needing deliverance prompted her to attend a healing week where she worked through various lies she had believed, including false assumptions about her ethnicity. Sandra's journey of healing began with surrendering to the realization that she needed freedom from these burdens that were affecting her family and marriage. Personal Healing and Forgiveness Journey Sandra shared her personal healing journey, describing how she broke free from emotional chains through awareness and inviting Jesus into her past traumas. She explained how she processed painful memories by asking Jesus to reveal lies and false identities, then replacing them with truth through daily renewal of her mind over a six-week period. Sandra also discussed her experience on the television show "Justice" where they solved her mother's murder case, though the perpetrator received a reduced sentence through a plea deal, requiring her to forgive again. Sandra's Book and Healing Journey Pamela and Sandra discussed Sandra's book and healing journey. Sandra shared how she helps women restore their identity in Christ through her "Heart Revival" series, which includes resources like "The Tear Collector" based on Psalm 56:8. Sandra also revealed that she had recently reunited with her biological father after a 40-year search, which she attributed to divine intervention.
