    Reading Declaration of Independence - July 4, 2025  The budget bill aka Maga Murder Bill has been passed on to the buffoon forsignature. I don’t know if it’s been signed. I have intentionally not looked. So, as atribute to our country’s 249th birthday, here is a reading of thepreamble to our Declaration of Independence.   I will not give up the fight against this fascist oligarchy regime.  Please join me by subscribing to my subscriber only community. There’s a lot more to it than this including the grievances to George III. The similarities to the fascism of today areglaring and worth the read.  Here's the link to the document. National Archive Declaration of Independence Transcript Congress, July 4, 1776  The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.  We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object theestablishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.     Our Response To Fascism Part 3: What Is Dark Enlightenment Episode 04-011

    Welcome to “Real Life After 70”  This is Real Life After 70 – Episode 04-011 My name is Mike Reynolds. I’m your host for this and each episode. Real Life After 70, where our journey continues.  The following is from a March 24, 2025, Time Magazine article: What Is Dark Enlightenment: This appears to be a sequel to “Project 2025”, and it is on the fast track under the current fascist regime. The rise of the “Dark Enlightenment” movement and its most vocal steward: software engineer and blogger Curtis Yarvin. Using a variety of mixed metaphors, Yarvin advocates for a “Butterfly Revolution,” a “full power start” to the U.S. government accomplished by “giving absolute sovereignty to a single organization." This is imagined as an internal coup meant to privatize the government and replace democracy with complete executive authority. Two years ago, Yarvin laid out his strategic program with the acronym “RAGE,” or “Retire all government employees.” Yarvin argued that a hypothetical future Trump administration should terminate all nonpolitical federal workers to have them be replaced by loyalists. The government’s coffers must then be impounded and redirected, according to the blogger. When courts prevent unconstitutional orders, Yarvin says that they should just be ignored. After that, the free press and universities must be curtailed, as well—Yarvin said no later than April after the inauguration. That so much of this seems to mirror the actions of the Trump administration and DOGE may not be a coincidence. So far, some 30,000 federal employees—across departments as varied as the FDA, the National Park Service, and the FAA—have been fired by DOGE in the name of government efficiency. Tyranny requires our fear and our silence and our compliance. Democracy requires our courage. So let us gather our forgotten spirit of the 60’s and show our combined strength to make our voices herd loudly and clearly. We will not let the tragic spirit of despair overcome us. The threats relating to massive cuts in Social Security and Veterans Health Care is causing major fear and stress in tens of millions of seniors and veterans. This is a population group that our government should honor and respect. The opposite is what is happening today. We have to be vocal about fighting these threats. Join me in this discussion. Imbolc is a pagan sabbat that is celebrated on February 1st and marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It is a time of renewal and new beginnings, as the earth begins to awaken from its winter slumber and the first signs of spring start to appear. The name Imbolc comes from the Gaelic "oimelc," which means "in the belly," and it is associated with the lactation of ewes. It is also known as Candlemas, as candles are often lit to honor the return of the sun. In addition to honoring the goddess Brigid, Imbolc is also a time to celebrate the returning light and the start of the growing season. It is a time to clean and purify your home, plant the seeds of your goals and intentions for the year, and make a plan for the coming spring. One popular way to celebrate Imbolc sabbat is to create a Brigid's Cross, which is a decorative cross made from rushes or straw. NCOA Article Sep 26, 2024  This article shows some alarming statistics related to about 58 million seniors in America.  • An updated analysis by the National Council on Aging and LeadingAge LTSS Center @ UMass Boston shows a little over 27 million households with adults age 60+ cannot afford basic living needs. • Researchers say 60% of older adults would be unable to afford two years of in-home long-term services and support. • While older adults' income increased modestly from 2018-2020, 60% experienced a decrease in assets. What do you think about 80% of older Americans facing financial insecurity? We are 58 million strong. Let our voices ring.
