Reckless A-Talk: Candace the Magnificent (Performer, writer, sensitivity writer, Ennies judge)
Welcome to another episode of Reckless A-Talk, our TTRPG interview show where we sit down with some of our favorite writers, players, GMs, and streamers to get to know a little bit more about what makes them who they are.
This week, we had the pleasure of interviewing the, well, magnificent Candace the Magnificent!
Candace is a powerhouse of creativity in and out of the TTRPG space. As a player, they are known for their colorful and memorable characters (as well as the colorful and memorable costumes she often wears to represent them), but they do it all, including writing, sensitivity reading, game running, writing, serving as an Ennies awards judge, and much more.
In today’s interview, we talk about how she leaves room for growth in their characters, knowing your needs, the gift of connection, taking accountability, and doing emotional labor for those who can’t. Among, as always, a great many other things.
CW: Mental health, adderall shortage, police brutality, racism

Reckless A-Talk: Navaar Seik-Jackson (Secret Nerd Podcast, The Corrupted, Know Direction, Unwavering Force)
Hello listeners! Welcome to another episode of Reckless A-Talk, our TTRPG interview show where we sit down with some of our favorite writers, players, GMs, and streamers to get to know a little bit more about what makes them who they are.
I am excited to get to play interviewer to a fellow interviewer this week, as I sit down with podcast host, editor, game designer and quality individual Navaar Seik-Jackson.
Navaar started his first show, the excellent and conversational interview offering the Secret Nerd Podcast, just a bit before we started Reckless Attack, and the show has grown from interviewing a handful of friends all the way to some of the biggest names in the TTRPG space over more than 90 episodes (as of this release).
Since then, Navaar has branched into game design with his zombie apocalypse TTRPG The Corrupted, a Last of Us podcast Escape the Dark, helped host Pathfinder news and discussion podcast Know Direction, and is one of the players on the brand new Star Wars Pathfinder 2e show Unwavering Force.
Navaar is, in short, a busy guy.
But he is also a truly lovely guy.
In this episode, we talk about representation in gaming, just going out and doing the thing, discovery of self, vulnerability, making choices and results that matter, doing what you can for others, and oh so much more.
Enjoy the episode, and see you next time!

Episode 70: The First Ones
The Guilders face off against a group of the First Ones… beings of ice and cold summoned by the Shepherd. If they don’t defeat them in time and shut the portal, the lumbering colossus behind them could make it through and cause untold havoc in Deepwood.

Amazing Podcast!
Reckless Attack is a truly delightful listen. The cast clearly enjoys the game, they bounce off of each other perfectly, and Nathan is one of the best DMs I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. The sound quality and technical aspects are impeccable and I’m excited for every new episode.
All that being said, 5 stars for the stacks
Fun, exciting and completely reckless
One of the best actual plays out there. Tightly edited, inventive with great camaraderie and unique storytelling. Highly recommend.
Fun and innovative D&D actual play
This is an amazing D&D AP podcast. It is well-edited, and the episodes are a very reasonable length. The players have great chemistry, and they do some really innovative collaborative world building where everyone at the table is involved in building the world of their story. Also, their running gag about the character that is essentially a the stack of frogs lends just enough levity while the enemies keep the stakes high. 5/5, definitely recommended for anyone looking for a D&D podcast that doesn’t required 4-5 hours of time per week.
