We speak with athletes, coaches, and other high performers to catch a glimpse into who they really are...ordinary people like you and me. My goal is to highlight what makes them special, but also find the commonalities that relate them back to us. Some of them love to cook, some love to eat, and some are just doing their best to be parents. On Redefining Greatness, we take a look into their lives and what truly sets them apart.

    Ep. 6 Justin March: Linebacker- Dallas Cowboys

    On this episode, I speak with Justin March, who entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent back in 2015. Justin came into KC and immediately began to make an impact. Throughout the episode, we discuss some of the challenges he faced growing up in the small town of Danvile, IL and how that kind of shaped who he is.  We discuss how he was able overcome the major challenges of his Dad passing away, and then his brother passing away just 11 months later.  Justin has also had the chance to play with some of the best LBs in the NFL. And now that he is a veteran presence, he shares how he is able to be the player that the younger players can learn from.

Mitch's unique circumstances and life has been one that has shaped who he is and the player he is.  We also discuss similarities in Josh Allen, Pat Mahomes, and Alex Smith.  We talk about organizational similarities between Coach Reid and Sean McDermott.  And then we wrap up how Mitch, as a new father, has been able to balance football and family.

On this episode we talk about what that struggle taught him and how it applies to him today.  We discuss his identity in life after football and in Christ.  From the beginning of my time in KC, mike and I had some awesome convos where we discussed everything from religion to life, conversations where he taught me so much, and this episode is no different.
