Again,the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who,when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it( Matthew 13:45-46).We can experience this Kingdom through God's word.Gemstones & semi-precious stones are formed through pressure and heat.God's word which is flawless refined in a furnace of clay will also be tested as we live through it.Refined Gem seeks to share the word of God, applying it in everyday living.

    Divine protection -part 1

    Hey everyone! Welcome back.We begin a short series on divine protection. We reflect on our authority at the place of prayer in watching over the gates of our families.We consider why Moses was asked to instruct the Israelites to mark the door posts and frames of their houses with the blood of the lambs that they were asked to slaughter .(Exodus 11,12, Ephesians 1:13,Isaiah 22:22,2 Cor 10:4)

    Raise a memorial stone

    Why does God value us remembering significant events or when He has won victories for us? Why did God ask Israelites to carry stones from River Jordan after He had cut off the waters and the Israelites had crossed over into the promised land? (Joshua 3,4,5 ,Genesis 17:7)

    My daily walk part 2

    Hey everyone! We continue our reflection on a second discipline that we can adopt, having begun a personal relationship with Jesus. How do we nurture it? We consider prayer and learn how to pray from the Lord's prayer. There are all kinds of prayers including praying in the Spirit. We look at what Jesus taught the disciples when they asked him how they should pray. ( Luke 11:1-3 ,Matthew 6:9-13,1 John 1:9,1 Thess 5:17, Ephesians 5:17)

    After making the decision to let in Jesus into our hearts, what next? We continue to reflect on spiritual disciplines to help us in our growth in salvation.     The Rebirth

    We continue our meditation and today get to understand what a Rebirth in Christ means. The foundation of our being born again.Is good works not enough to earn me a ticket? We reflect on salvation by faith and how we get a new identity.We will also consider what it will take for us to walk the walk after making that decision. ( John 3:4,Romans 6:6,Ephesians 2:8-9,Romans 19:9-10, John 1:12, Ephesians 1:5,Philipians 1:6,Romans 8:38-39, 2 Timothy 1:12)

    Could we be carrying a ticket for everything we need having been fully paid for and yet not know it? Jesus paid a hefty price for your life and mine .That price is inclusive of a guarantee to us for an abundant life in Him but not many of us experience this abundance. We reflect on what this truly means for us.
