Episode 76 - Recognizing The Goodness of God - Psalm 32:6-7

Recognizing the Goodness of God | Refuge & Strength — Psalm 32   What does it really mean to experience the goodness of God? In Part 3 of our journey through Psalm 32, Pastor b.Side explores one of the greatest expressions of God’s goodness: His mercy and forgiveness. David’s story reminds us that God’s goodness isn’t ultimately measured by the temporary blessings we receive. It begins with something far greater—the forgiveness of sin and restoration of our relationship with Him. Psalm 32 takes us from the misery of hidden sin to the freedom of confession, repentance, forgiveness, and refuge. David discovered that the God he once tried to hide from became the God he desperately wanted to run toward. In this episode, we explore: Why forgiveness is the foundation of God’s goodness How God’s mercy gives us hope when we deserve judgment Why God’s mercy should create urgency rather than complacency The difference between running from God and running to God How God can use even the consequences of human sin to accomplish His greater purposes Why David looked forward to the ultimate deliverance still to come God’s mercy is available now—but Scripture reminds us that our time is limited. The question is: Will we recognize His goodness, humble ourselves, and seek His forgiveness while He may be found? 🎙️ Listen to “Recognizing the Goodness of God” from Refuge & Strength and dive deeper into Psalm 32. If this study encourages or challenges you, share it with someone who needs to hear about God's mercy and goodness.   #RefugeAndStrength #PastorBSide #Psalm32 #GoodnessOfGod #MercyOfGod #Forgiveness #Repentance #BibleStudy #ChristianPodcast #Faith #Jesus #Gospel #BiblicalTruth ------------------- For more information or Bible teaching resources from Pastor b.Side, visit www.pastorbside.com   To support the work of the ministry from Pastor b.Side, visit www.pastorbside.com/donate   You can also listen to Pastor b.Side’s other podcast, which explores the attributes of God through His Old Testament names, called, “Getting To Know God.” Here are the direct links to this podcast:   Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4Ec0A2fIRgbSeODzzuCMrf   Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/getting-to-know-god/id1839302336   YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFdgJTRi_Ryc5OXQ66BjB3HOHE8Uc_f3E   Amazon: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/cc09ada9-3b6a-4517-bb44-4da9c1cd46e0   iHeart Radio: https://iheart.com/podcast/293911188 ------------------- Make sure to follow Pastor b.Side to stay updated on new Bible studies, study materials, and encouraging messages:   TikTok: @theofficialpastorbside Facebook: @theofficialpastorbside Instagram: @pastorbside YouTube: @pastorbside

Episode 75 - One Cause For Depression - Psalm 32:3-5

One Cause For Depression What happens when guilt, conviction, and unconfessed sin weigh heavily on the heart? In Psalm 32, David gives us a brutally honest look at what happened when he tried to hide his sin from God. His silence left him spiritually drained, weakened, and without vitality—but God’s correction ultimately led him toward confession, repentance, forgiveness, and restoration. In this episode of Refuge & Strength, Pastor b.Side explores Psalm 32:3–5 and the difficult reality of God’s discipline. David’s story reminds us that God sees what we try to hide, but His conviction is not intended to destroy His people. Even when His correction hurts, His mercy provides a way back. This study challenges us to stop running from conviction, acknowledge our sin, and remember that true strength, peace, joy, and restoration come from God—not from ourselves. Listen to Part 2 of this four-part study through Psalm 32, and discover how God can use even painful correction to bring His people back to Himself. #RefugeAndStrength #PastorBSide #Psalm32 #BibleStudy #Psalms #ChristianPodcast #Christianity #BiblicalTruth #GodsWord #Repentance #Forgiveness #Grace #Mercy #Faith #Jesus #BibleTeaching #ChristianLiving #MentalHealth #Guilt #Sin #SpiritualGrowth ------------------- For more information or Bible teaching resources from Pastor b.Side, visit www.pastorbside.com   To support the work of the ministry from Pastor b.Side, visit www.pastorbside.com/donate   You can also listen to Pastor b.Side’s other podcast, which explores the attributes of God through His Old Testament names, called, “Getting To Know God.” Here are the direct links to this podcast:   Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4Ec0A2fIRgbSeODzzuCMrf   Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/getting-to-know-god/id1839302336   YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFdgJTRi_Ryc5OXQ66BjB3HOHE8Uc_f3E   Amazon: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/cc09ada9-3b6a-4517-bb44-4da9c1cd46e0   iHeart Radio: https://iheart.com/podcast/293911188 ------------------- Make sure to follow Pastor b.Side to stay updated on new Bible studies, study materials, and encouraging messages:   TikTok: @theofficialpastorbside Facebook: @theofficialpastorbside Instagram: @pastorbside YouTube: @pastorbside

    Episode 74 - Debt Forgiveness - Psalm 32:1-2

What does it really mean to be “blessed”? Psalm 32:1–2 gives us a radically different picture than the way our culture often uses the word. Biblical blessing isn’t primarily about comfort, success, possessions, or getting what we want—it’s about something infinitely more valuable: God’s mercy, forgiveness, and the removal of our spiritual debt. In this episode of Refuge & Strength, we take a deep look at David’s words in Psalm 32 and the story behind them. We explore the weight of sin, David’s failure and repentance, the Hebrew meaning behind forgiveness and “bearing up” sin, and how Jesus fulfills the role of our Great High Priest and the sacrifice that takes our sin away. The greatest blessing isn’t what God gives us in this life. It’s what He has forgiven us from and what He has done through Jesus to save us. 🎙️ Refuge & Strength — Psalm 32:1–2: “Debt Forgiveness” ------------------- For more information or Bible teaching resources from Pastor b.Side, visit www.pastorbside.com   To support the work of the ministry from Pastor b.Side, visit www.pastorbside.com/donate   You can also listen to Pastor b.Side’s other podcast, which explores the attributes of God through His Old Testament names, called, “Getting To Know God.” Here are the direct links to this podcast:   Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4Ec0A2fIRgbSeODzzuCMrf   Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/getting-to-know-god/id1839302336   YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFdgJTRi_Ryc5OXQ66BjB3HOHE8Uc_f3E   Amazon: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/cc09ada9-3b6a-4517-bb44-4da9c1cd46e0   iHeart Radio: https://iheart.com/podcast/293911188 ------------------- Make sure to follow Pastor b.Side to stay updated on new Bible studies, study materials, and encouraging messages:   TikTok: @theofficialpastorbside Facebook: @theofficialpastorbside Instagram: @pastorbside YouTube: @pastorbside ------------------- #RefugeAndStrength #Psalm32 #BibleStudy #BibleTeaching #ChristianPodcast #Christianity #JesusChrist #Gospel #Forgiveness #GodsMercy #Grace #Faith #Scripture #BiblicalTruth #ChristianLiving #Jesus #Salvation #Sin #Redemption #GodsWord #Bible #Pastor #ChristianFaith

Episode 73 - The Goodness Of God - Psalm 31:19-24

What does it really mean when we say “God is good”? In this episode, we go beyond the phrase to uncover the truth behind it—God isn’t good because of what He does for us, but because He is the very source and standard of goodness itself. Looking through the life and testimony of King David in Psalm 31, we explore how a deep, personal knowledge of God transforms our understanding of His goodness—especially in seasons of hardship, betrayal, and uncertainty. David’s story reveals that God’s goodness isn’t limited to temporary deliverance but is ultimately rooted in His eternal promises, His unchanging nature, and His power to save and preserve the soul. This episode challenges you to shift your focus away from circumstances and onto the character of God—learning to fear Him, trust Him, and find true hope in His presence. Because when you truly know God, you don’t just say He’s good… you understand why. 🎙️ Tune in to be encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that God’s goodness is far greater—and far more eternal—than we often realize.   For more information or Bible teaching resources from Pastor b.Side, visit www.pastorbside.com   To support the work of the ministry from Pastor b.Side, visit www.pastorbside.com/donate   You can also listen to Pastor b.Side’s other podcast, which explores the attributes of God through His Old Testament names, called, “Getting To Know God.” Here are the direct links to this podcast:   Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4Ec0A2fIRgbSeODzzuCMrf   Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/getting-to-know-god/id1839302336   YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFdgJTRi_Ryc5OXQ66BjB3HOHE8Uc_f3E   Amazon: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/cc09ada9-3b6a-4517-bb44-4da9c1cd46e0   iHeart Radio: https://iheart.com/podcast/293911188 ------------------- Make sure to follow Pastor b.Side to stay updated on new Bible studies, study materials, and encouraging messages:   TikTok: @theofficialpastorbside Facebook: @theofficialpastorbside Instagram: @pastorbside YouTube: @pastorbside

    Episode 72 - The Right Focus - Psalm 31:9-18

Why is it so hard to truly trust the LORD—even when we know we should? In this episode, we unpack the deeper, ongoing struggle between our flesh and faith, and why walking by sight often feels more natural than walking by faith. Looking at the powerful testimony of King David in Psalm 31, we explore how real trust in God isn’t rooted in comfort, circumstances, or people—but in God’s unchanging character. This episode challenges the way we approach God: Are we trusting Him for who He is, or for what we hope He’ll do? Through David’s example, we’re reminded that true faith is anchored in the holiness, power, and mercy of God—not in the people or resources around us. If you’ve ever struggled to trust God in the middle of hardship, this conversation will help re-center your focus on the One who holds everything—and you—in His hands.

Looking at the powerful testimony of King David in Psalms 31:6–8, we see how real trust in the LORD is forged through hardship. Episode 70 - Be Of Good Courage - Psalm 31:1-5

People can be fickle—even believers. One moment we praise God, the next we fail one another. In this episode, we explore how the story of David and the people of Keilah shows the unpredictable nature of humanity and the unchanging faithfulness of God. Through Psalm 31, we understand why David trusted in the LORD alone and how his experience points ahead to Jesus, who was also betrayed by those He came to save. While people often fall short, God remains our true refuge, strength, and the only One worthy of our complete trust.
