Many barriers exist that can prevent us from seeing the cross clearly. We want to attempt to remove those barriers and share the gospel. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear (1 Peter 3:15). For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

    RBP 219: On the Mission Field with Missionary Joanna Smith

    Episode 219 Series: On the Mission Field - 25 In today's episode of the Removing Barriers podcast, we interview Joanna Smith, missionary helper to the great country of Colombia. She will be helping her brother, a veteran missionary already established there, in reaching the lost souls for Christ. Perhaps you wonder why missionaries are needed in a country in which over 90% of the people identify as Christian. Isn't a country like that evangelized enough? Well, the country is overwhelmingly Catholic, and churches that preach the true gospel of Jesus Christ as it is in the scriptures are incredibly few and far between. In fact, you won't believe how far the nearest ministry of like faith is from her brother's ministry! God is at work, however, and in this interview, we will hear how God called Joanna to serve the people Colombia, especially the women and children. Join us as we learn about her upbringing, her surrender to ministry work, and all about what God is doing on that particular mission field to draw lost souls to Himself.     RBP 218: Growing Up a Missionary Kid with Bethany Klassen

    Episode 218 Have you ever recommended a Christian fiction book, only to preface the recommendation with tons of warnings, disclaimers, or caveats? Why are there so few books in that genre that can be recommended without reservation? Today on the Removing Barriers podcast, we interview a guest who at one point wondered the same thing and decided to do something about it. Bethany Klassen was born in Canada but grew up in Mexico after her parents obeyed God's call on their lives to serve the Mennonite population there as missionaries. An avid reader from her youth, Bethany always struggled to find books that exalted Christ and did not pollute the reader with questionable content or doctrine. She is now a talented author that has stepped into the Christian fiction space to create books with biblical (not just moral) values, encouraging stories, and the shameless exaltation of Christ. Her works include Sins of the Past, Tomorrow's Promise, and the newly published Seven Seconds. Listen in as we interview her about her upbringing as a missionary kid, her motivations and goals in writing Christian fiction, and the future endeavors God has in store for her.     RBP 213: Lessons in Marriage with Mike and Patricia

    RBP 212: Charlie Kirk: A Soul for Which Christ Died

    Episode 212 The assassination and martyrdom of Charlie Kirk at a Prove Me Wrong event at Utah Valley University is already going down in history as one of those events where everyone remembers where they were when it happened. Only time will tell how it will reverberate in the future. Charlie Kirk was many wonderful things, especially a husband and father, but the most important thing about him was his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World. He was on the front lines at university campuses nationwide, challenging the indoctrination students are subjected to, presenting clear and genuine arguments against the world system and promoting biblical values as solutions to the problems we are facing today. He was cut down by an assassin's bullet very publicly and gruesomely, shocking the world and instantly revealing the depth of the rift in the population: people took to social media immediately to show their true colors.
