Many barriers exist that can prevent us from seeing the cross clearly. We want to attempt to remove those barriers and share the gospel. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear (1 Peter 3:15). For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

    Episode 240 Series: How Were Your Barriers Removed - 42 God both has and will go to incredible lengths to reach us with the gospel. He not only declared it way back in the Garden of Eden, but He also faithfully brought His promise to fruition when He came to the earth as a babe in the manger, then was crucified and resurrected after 33 years of a perfect life lived in our stead. Even now, His work to reach the lost continues. Every tract we pass out, every gospel presentation we give, every testimony we share--all are reflective of God's commitment to seek and save the lost. In this episode, we continue in the How Were Your Barriers Removed series with an interview of Simon Chu to hear how God saved him. Born in Hong Kong but raised in the U.S. after living in Nigeria for a year, he grew up in a nonreligious home with no Christian witness. His father was agnostic and his mother followed Buddhism. Though friends in his childhood professed to be Christians, their lives gradually suggested otherwise and provided no real witness to the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. In spite of this, the Lord had already been working in his heart, and eternity was a persistent question at the back of his mind. Join us and hear how God used imperfect people using imperfect evangelism efforts to bring Simon to a saving knowledge of Christ, and how God changed him into a faithful soulwinner as well.     RBP 239: This World Has Gone Bonkers: Trinidad, EPIC, Reprobate, and Fairfax

    Episode 239 Bonkers - 18 Muslims try to shut down Christian evangelism, a former lieutenant governor commits murder-suicide, scientists just can't let go of millions of years despite evidence, and a sad generational case in Trinidad all remind us of the desperate need for evangelism and ministry to the lost all across the globe. Political and social commentary can be made one way or the other, but Jesus Christ and Him crucified is the only truth that can defeat Islam, nihilism, evolution and millions of years, and the destructive power of sin. He was buried and was raised on the third day, and He has promised that whosoever believes in Him has eternal life. So when we talk to our family, friends, and neighbors about His power to save, we can share real hope and true help. Sometimes it results in hard truths that are counter to our current culture; we can expect to be ignored, mocked, or perhaps even attacked for it, but we simply cannot leave the world to itself without the Savior. The least we can do is try to reach them with the gospel because this world has gone bonkers.     RBP 238: On the Mission Field with Missionary Jason Windnagle

    Episode 238 Series: On the Mission Field - 31 Jason Windnagle and his family are called to minister to the American servicemembers stationed in South Korea. They also reach out to and minister to the South Koreans around them. People may think that servicemembers have a true understanding of the gospel, but you will discover as you listen to this episode that this is overwhelmingly NOT the case! The U.S. Armed Forces are a cross section of the country at large, and servicemembers are increasingly ignorant of the gospel of Christ even as the population is. In the wake of Charlie Kirk's assassination, the political right in the United States has in many ways splintered (some would even argue it has fractured), and the issue underlying this change seems to be Israel and the U.S.' staunch support of it. The disagreement can even be found in the church today. Where before, Christians of every stripe would be unified on the support of Israel, today we find that a substantial and growing number of Christians no longer view Israel favorably and are opposed the our current stance of steadfast support. What has brought about this change? Is it the war Trump waged on Iran? Perhaps the events in response to the October 7th attacks? Could it be that the Information Age has made it so that many can study the events of the past surrounding Israel for themselves? Or is this a spiritual war whose roots run long and deep? Dr. Phil Stringer is no stranger to the podcast and he is joined by his friend and co-author Dr. Jim Scudder to discuss how they believe the anti-Israel stance is the result of the spiritual war against God and His people, and how Christians across the board are lured into adopting an anti-biblical stance. The body of Christ is a disparate collection of sinners saved by the grace of God through faith. As members of the same body, scripture clearly calls us to do things for one another. Many barriers exist that can prevent us from seeing the cross clearly. We want to attempt to remove those barriers and share the gospel. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear (1 Peter 3:15).
