    Distance: From Here to There

    Distance marks the space between two things. This could be physical, emotional, temporal and more. And very often the distance between these two come with a measurement that will determine if the progress in distance was good. Our opinion determines if the distance gained was good, healthy or successful. So as we find ourselves at the start of a New Year, how are you measuring the distance you've achieved? Join me as we reflect on the perspective we use to gauge our progress.

    Giving Thanks!

    Thanksgiving is a time that often causes is us to slow down and recognize the different things in our lives that we are grateful for. It's easy to look outside and around for things to be grateful for. Have you ever looked internally and given thanks for who you are and what you've been gifted with? We don't need to be accepting an award to be thankful for our gifts and what  we're able to do. Join me this week as I explore the value of being grateful for who we are.

    Often times the parable of the talents has us focused on what the servant did not do. While that is a big component of the moral in this story. There is one that is often not considered, that is, he was chosen for the task. What does that say about him? What does his actions say about his perspective of himself? Which one is true? That of the master of the servant?

    What's your motive?

    What are your motives? What is the intention behind your actions? Your relationships? Your habits? We all have them. Some of us are operating within the integrity of who we are and are desired end goal. While other times we may have fallen away from our motives and are being more reactive to external stimuli rather than our internal compass.  Consider your motives and how they're working for you.     Repetition is not always fun, yet it is often the necessary component to growth. As we find ourselves in a unique time of quarantine, I have found myself repeating things on many fronts and have realized that my perspective of repetition could stand to be revisited.  Repetition is what separates great from average.     Look Again

    We're often told not to look back and only move forward. This is certainly some good advice if you find yourself stuck in your past. There is a difference between looking back and dwelling. What if I told you looking back can help serve you as you stand where you are preparing to move forward in what may seem daunting?     The day between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The day when they didn't know what was going to happen but we know how it ended. The day in-between was a long one, a dark one and hard one because they didn't know He'd resurrect.
