    Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns - Lauren Weisberger

    A sequel to her exceptionally well received The Devil Wears Prada, Lauren Weisberger takes Andy Sachs off to socialite marriage and her own magazine with nemesis-turned-friend Emily. Wedding day jitters turn to cold dread once Andy discovers a secret letter. Revenge Wears Prada sat at 2.89 stars on goodreads at the time of recording (but that has been pushed up to 3.02 owing to the release of the new film. Not that I'd know about such things) Defending this piece of work is the lovely Greg!   In our show we take a look at the books that everyone seems to hate. We stand up for mocked and derided literature, a lone defender doing their best to fight the conditioned ideas of the court of public opinion. Every episode a member of the group has to convince the rest of us that their assigned book has been unfairly judged. As a benchmark we're using goodreads.com, anything on their site with at least 100 reviews and a rating of less than 3 stars is, we think, deserving of a fair appeal hearing.   If you'd like to hear more by all means subscribe where all podcasts are found.

    Pygmy - Chuck Palahniuk

    Chuck Palahniuk's novel about a child soldier infiltrating America had 2.96 stars on goodreads at the time of recording. It follows Operative 67 navigating the American school systems and Midwestern home life in all its horror.  CW for references to: xenophobia, child sexual assault, school shooting, harm to children, religious abuse. Defending this novel we have the wonderful Kate! In our show we take a look at the books that everyone seems to hate.     Return to the Secret Garden - Susan Moody

    Susan Moody's sequel to the classic The Secret Garden is currently ranked at 2.69 stars on Goodreads. It takes us from the battlefields of France to India under the occupation of Britain. Susan Moody is also known, of course, for her novelisation of the Nescafe Gold Blend advertisements (RIP Anthony Stewart Head) To defend this book we have none other than the OG himself: G!   In our show we take a look at the books that everyone seems to hate.
