A YA Black Fantasy novel based on Nigerian mythology created by author Tomi Adeyemi. The book follows a young girl on a hero's journey to bring back magic to the country of Orisha. In this episode, we discuss the book's use of geography, mythology, and racism and how this may influence younger readers.

We touch on the recent criticism surrounding representation in the Star Wars franchise and how the Mandalorian breaks out of this narrative. Geo takes a deep dive into Mandalorian culture and argues why he believes it is a feminist culture.
