    Caz Binstead and resilience in the eye of the storm

She is also co-lead at #TherapistsConnect , the large therapy networking platform. She is the founder of its first project and student wing, #TraineeTalk, and more recently, their creative project, #TherapistsCreate She specialises in the field of private practice, with an interest in the growth and maintenance of both ethical, and, thriving practice. She was instrumental in the design and development of the Private practice Toolkit at the BACP, and, having served on the private practice committee for 4 years, was ‘Private Practice Executive Divisional Lead’ on the project. Working extensively in this area, Caz has provided consultation, training, copywriting services, and written guidance, to hundreds of students and therapists, preparing to set up and work in private practice. For #TherapistsConnect , she created their two day conference, Private practice 2021 : surviving and thriving in uncertain times. Caz believes in working for, and representing, the ‘therapist on the ground’, and is a relational activist and writer. She has hosted and facilitated, several high profile events for therapists, including (but not exclusively), the 3 #TherapistsConnect SCoPEd debates (2020), PCCS books publisher 2021 CPD day, and the last two BACP Student Conferences (2019 ; 2021). She feels passionately about providing safe spaces for all human beings to be seen, included and respected. Forthcoming events that she is appearing in this year, include, The International Supervision week 2022 conference (Onlinevents), with her workshop entitled Supervision for those new to private practice, and as part of a panel dialogue entitled Pluralism and the Politics of Therapy (2022 International Conference on Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy).     Jenny Hamilton and being mindful

    My first episode of 2022 and here I talk with Jenny Hamilton, my colleague and co-founder of our new venture 'Resilience Retreats' - where we invite attendees to engage with mindful self-care to enhance their resilience. Jenny has worked in the public, private and charity sectors, helping a diverse range of clients to find their path. Through this work Jenny developed specialist experience in working via telephone, managing and supervising helping professionals and careers coaching. After several years delivering workplace training in counselling skills and theory to helping professionals, Jenny worked as a senior lecturer and course leader in counsellor education and has written and designed several degree and Masters level programmes in counselling, mental health, wellbeing and resilience. As a mindfulness teacher, Jenny has taught mindfulness to staff and students in higher education, to NHS staff and to staff in social services. Jenny combines a passion for therapy and wellbeing with her background in film and media studies and has published and developed methods in film therapy.
