Wow! I was not expecting to love this first episode as much as I did! It’s hard for me to get hooked sometimes into podcasts, so far “Another Zelda Podcast” had been the only show I’ve consistently followed for years. I’ve always loved listening to David gush and nerd out with the wonderful AZP community for years over our common passion over a video game but that’s where I assumed the connections would end.
So, I’m a full time graphic design, Computer science and psychology teacher, with ADHD, who also went back to school as an adult years later. I also worked for target for years and it was also…a really great team centric experience. I connected so much with your story and was emotional listening to the same challenges and questions I went through too. So proud to support and listen to you here too - it’s great to hear your authentic experiences and normalize the “abnormal” college story. As a teacher I struggle so much with advising my students on college - as so many think it’s ties to their self worth or quality of life choices and that’s sooo far beyond the truth. I struggled in school too which I love sharing with kids, break down the association of grades and identity - you aren’t defined by the single out dated metrics of school. So I’m so proud of you David for this big step in your life, for sharing such an intimate journey with the world and I’m so glad you gave this shoutout in the holiday episode on AZP haha, which was excellent btw! Again, wow, so blown away by the production quality, the style and professionalism of everything you do - it reveals so much about your relentless creativity energy and driven passion! You’ve got the AZP community right here rooting in your corner! Best of luck! OKAY BYEEEEE 💚
