Now let’s see how The Wire reflects or evolves conventions of theatre and drama. The Wire traces the evolution of the traditions of “Theatre of Cruelty” into “Theatre of the Absurd.” This is a useful way of thinking when we look at Season 5 as the bizarre outlier of the series.

Correction

Mouzone bodyguard is not Namond. He’s the real Deandre from the Corner. And Snoop is a woman not a He.

Come at the pod, best not miss (an ep)

The Wire is one of, if not, the best TV shows in recent memory. I am so happy to have come across this podcast and loved listening to their S01E01 episode. I also really enjoy the concept through a literary lens. Do yourself a favour and subscribe and listen now!
