She also has an eye on equity and why it is important for traditionally underserved communities to have a spot at the table when it comes to science as well as computer science.

Preparing kids for the jobs of the future with Angelin Thompson
In education, a lot of change happened as a result of the pandemic. Online learning became a powerful option for some students but when the pandemic ended, everyone went back to the previous way of doing school. However, at Denver Public Schools, rather than going completely back to in-person learning, they decided to keep a component of online learning available to their various students.
