There are millions of church buildings in the world, and, consequently, millions of "preachers." I've been in MANY churches, of all different types, denominations, etc. 99.9% of the people preaching these days are "trained" speakers. And some are really good "trained" speakers. And then you can count on one, maybe 2 hands how many preachers in that position are "gifted." Truly gifted. That's because most people that have been given that gift use it in business or elsewhere because it's more profitable, more secure - easier. Rex Boyles is a gifted preacher. And gifted in abundance. He's been knocked down a few times in life - and, yet, he still preaches on. He could have chosen to go into sales, and made millions. Instead, he chose to preach. In spite of the pain and hurt it's brought to him. He should be heard by millions, preaching at a megachurch and be known as one of the best preachers of this generation. Instead, he preaches to a group of about 50, those society would refer to as "outcasts." I hope more people find his podcast. He is one of the top 3 preachers I've ever heard - depth, insight - he teaches the Bible as it is, not as we want it to be. He preaches Truth, not what's easy to hear and say.
