These conversations are not interviews. They are moments of remembering, reflection, and recognition. Here, we honour the people who make the work possible  on stage, off stage, and in between.     Episode 4 - Utsav: New Feet

    Rhythm and Chai is a space for conversations that explore what lives beneath the work. This episode turns to teaching and lineage how knowledge is carried, shaped, and passed on over time. Urja Desai Thakore reflects on her training at Kadamb, and is joined by three teachers from within Pagrav who have each arrived through different journeys. Their approaches are not the same and that difference matters. Together, they explore what it means to teach beyond method: to hold values, to respond to the room, and to carry something forward without fixing it in place. This is a conversation about care, clarity, and the evolving nature of practice.

    Rhythm and Chai is a space for conversations that explore what lives beneath the work. This episode reflects on growth not as a straight path, but as something that pauses, shifts, leaves, and returns. Urja Desai Thakore is joined by Sanjay and Pranav, who began training with Pagrav in 2006. Over time, their roles have evolved from students to friends, supporters, trustees, and teachers. Together, they explore what it means to grow over time: to step away, to return differently, and to stay connected through it all. This is a conversation about learning, leaving, and the relationships that make growth a lifelong practice.

    Episode 2 - Baharan: Friendship in the Arts

    Rhythm and Chai is a space for conversations that explore what lives beneath the work. This episode turns to friendship not as a concept, but as a practice that quietly shapes what we create. Urja Desai Thakore is joined by Akash and Hiren to reflect on Baharan (2005) and the relationships that held it. What began with generosity and curiosity grew into something deeper rooted in trust, listening, and shared experience. This is a conversation not about explaining the work, but about how friendship makes the work possible and how, in turn, the work reshapes friendship.

    Episode 1 - Care as Practice

    Rhythm and Chai is a space for conversations that explore what lives beneath the work. As Pagrav approaches 20 years in the UK, this opening episode begins with the care that is an often unseen foundation before structures, funding, or recognition. Urja Desai Thakore is joined by Executive Producer Lia Prentaki, who has been part of Pagrav’s journey since its early years. Together, they reflect on what it means to hold work over time, sustain vision through uncertainty, and practise care as something active and deeply relational.
